Kimberly,
Keep up the good work. Knowing you are already practicing good compliance will help you pull the pieces together.

Bobbet,
You are right on target! Keep up the good work.

Bill,
Thank you for your feedback.

Although this is my first official training for CIE, I was surprised to find that many of the regulations are already a part of my day to day practices.
I now know that this information is updated regularly and that there is a resource for me to use to stay current and compliant.

We are constantly getting training in admissions regarding new programs, what NOT to discuss about financial aid, changes with the school itself, etc. One thing I know about working in admissions and all my years of experience is that there are ALWAYS changes and we have to adapt to that.

The various ways to learn the Florida Statues and Rules and Regulation are by following the links provide by the CIE for example, Chapter 6E, Florida Administrative Code,Chapter 1005 Florida Statutes, Section 1005.01 FS Fair Consumer Practice, Section 1005.31 FS. Licensure of Institution, etc..

With all the information provided by the CIE an institution should be well rounded and educated when recruiting a prospective student.

Janeet,
These resources bring it all together. Keep on learning.

Reading them directly like we did in this course, but mostly from day to day usuage and dealing with the CIE and NACCAS people who we deal with concerning licensing and accreditation matters.

Jessica,
Excellent resources!

Maribeth,
Excellent! CIE is there to assist in remaining compliant.

By participating in this CIE course, I am gaining knowledge and I am learning the different Florida Statues and Rules and Regulations that madate our programs and campuses.

Online at the various websites, my Director is VERY thorough and also different conferences held by varying accrediting agencies. There are definitly plenty of places to get good information and stay up to date with the laws governing our industry.
