Joseph,
Good deal! You are off to a great start! Continue to add additional resources to build a top-notch resource notebook.

Patty Aronoff

Jeremy,

Keeping your notebook current is very important. If you don't, you run the risk of providing misleading information to your students. Make sure all information is current and valid.

Patty Aronoff

Joseph,
There are many good ideas posted on the forums. Draw from others but tailor your notebook to your style.

Patty Aronoff

Andrea,

A binder is a good choice. The material is easily accessible and easy to update. Check out the CIE website and their newsletter for valuable information.

Linda,

Does your school have a registrar? After the student graduates, what happens to their records?

Patty Aronoff

Heidi,

Compliance is about firm processes, accountability and review. We all have to take steps to ensure that these are followed through.

At the time im just starting to Organize all Admission paper work in student files

I have created a notebook with tabs for each section including all terms and the student catalog.

I am printing off all pertainent materials, highlighting, and note taking and inserting them into a 3 leaf binder for future reference.

I am maintaining a notebook of all necessary paperwork and forms at their most current issuance...

As I am new to the school and the industry, I am compiling a resource notebook of my own, but will compare with others for ideas as well as content.

I am going to create a binder with tabs so I can have all the information handy and organized. Also I will keep checking for updates.

Each student has a file. The file includes the enrollment agreement. the application, the student record, the payment agreement, etc. These files are located in one file drawer until the student graduates then the file is moved to the current year graduates file.

Organization is definitely key to maintaining compliance and ensuring that the student has everything that he/she needs before starting school. I have found that it is important to maintain my own records and know where I can find what I need on my own, but it is also important to be aware of the other resources within the school for this process as well.

Jennifer,

Good news! You are well on your way to creating a valuable resource. Keep up the good work.

Patty,
Love color coding for a quick way to access hat you need when you need it.

Patty Aronoff

Erin,
Both have their advantages. I like paper copies because I can write notes or markup. I also like electronic versions because searching for something cn be very quick.

Patty Aronoff

Laura,
Excellent! Updating information in your binder will be an ongoing process. Use those opportunities to revisit and re-examine your documents.

Patty Aronoff

Susan ,
Great idea! Being organized is a best practice in compliance. Information has to be current and applied uniformly.
