Im agree. Its very important and this handout will help me in the process when the students ask me about your future studies.

Amanda,
Strong communication links are key to a healthy work environment poised for learning and growth. You are fortunate.

Patrick,

Great plan! Take every opportunity to learn and develop your product knowledge. Staff are willing to assist as well as students.

We have quarterly meetings with all staff and faculty. I also have seperate weekly meetings with my director and my staff to make sure we are all up to date on things. I'm very fortunate here because we are a small school and communication between departments is excellent.

I plan on attending weekely product familiarization classes, conduct informal conversation with academic staff, and to meet with the Director of recruting/admission weekly.

Dawn,
The information bridge is key. Making sure we provide accurate information gives true expectations. Great idea!

Patty Aronoff

Keeping up to date is extremely important especially for programs that leads to licensure. One way that we keep up to date is via bulletin from department heads. These usually outlines changes in external as well as internal policies and regulations. I usually talk with key perosnnel about the thought process behind these changes to ensure that when students ask I can answer their questions in a confident manner.
I also agree that students are great resources to get a sense of what goes on in the class, but I am careful to balance expectations with policies.

Ryan ,

Stop by and see your student's. Give them a few minutes of your time, to show your renewed interest. They are your best PDL resource.

Patty Aronoff

Make sure that I keep up to date with all material sent out by leadership in the University, maintain relationships with faculty, and periodically stop by classes to see how learning has changed.

Kay,
Good plan! Their Commission meetings are also webcast so check in and see what is happening at CIE.

Patty Aronoff

It is imperative that we check the Florida Commission for Independent Education website at least once a month for announcements of any updates This will allow us to be informed and in compliance.

Sean,

That is certainly a perk! Online education is certainly becoming more and more popular, reaching a student base that is far reaching.

Patty Aronoff

The great thing about working for the online division of your school is to be able to attend the class at any time like a student would! Staying up to date and being able to put your self in the students shoes, Its great!

tram,

Weekly meetings are excellent opportunities to ask questions and teach others. Make your meetings productive and exciting!

Patty Aronoff

weekly meeting in every department

Thacha,

They are also very good resources for personally developed leads which can evolve into new enrollments.

Patty Aronoff

Frank,

Good advice! The Commission meets every two months and they discuss these topics which are very relevant to your school.

Patty Aronoff

One of my plans are to keep in contact with grads and to ask them if they are willing to give written feedback on there experience in the program and on the job! That way i will have something more to show and encourage potential students.

Check at least once or twice a month for change at The Florida Commission for Independent Education for changes in regulations or other things that will affect my admission process in my institution.

Robert,
We must always strive to improve our knowledge base.
