Yanithe,
Thank you for your post reminding us all that there is always something to learn no matter how many years we have been working in this sector.

Patty Aronoff

I know a great deal about this institution since I actually went here for my professional education. I have watched it grow and change over the past 15 years to become a mature and well organized college.

I rate the knowledge of my instiution fairly high. I make it a priority to learn as much as possible in any institution that I represent. I have a wealth of knowlege on each particular program we offer, although I only represent one program. I understand the importance of each department and the areas in which they function. I am discovering that I work for a wonderful school and the focal point of the institution is our students.

I can rate my knowledge level in a good standard. I prepare the entire State requirement for the institution and programs' planning. No matter how many years of experiences, always learning something new every time for renewal.

Mary,

Having graduated from your school, you have the unique perspective as a student. Your clients will respect that information.

Patty Aronoff

Dana,
It takes the whole school to create a graduate. Get to know everyone and understand their role at your school.

Patty Aronoff

My inital knowledge of my institution is from the studnet perspective. I am a graduate of my institution. I am learning the ins and outs of the institution side each day.

Mary Pinson

I would say my level of knowledge about the institution I am at is good for having been here for 4 weeks. I've made it a point to meet anyone having influence over the students as well as sitting in as many classes as possible to get a good perspective of the experience a prospective student will have.

Emmanuel,
Make sure you are thorough. Student rely on you for the valuable information you hold.

merlene,

Excellent! Keep on learning and developing in your very important role at your institution.

Patty Aronoff

Barbara,

Great start! Knowing who the employees are and what they do will give you part of the bigger picture. Everyone has a part in the student's experience at the school.

Patty Aronoff

Matiely,
Certification exams is an area where students need your expertise. Knowing what exams are required, which are voluntary and nice to have, what the costs are and who pays are all important facts that you will need to know.

Patty Aronoff

Patrick ,
A positive mental attitude will carry you far. Having a strong institutional knowledge, you bring a perspective of a seasoned rep and prospective students will respect that knowledge.

Patty Aronoff

Zonia,

Your role in admissions is extremely important. Admissions is the face of the institution where all things begin.

Patty Aronoff

Way to go Richard! I think that everyone in this forum should follow your example. I have implemented the same technique and it has paid off thus far in terms of providing accurate information to students (prospective and current).

My rate should be great due to the fact that I am responsible to provide information necessary to make prospective students as well other any interested individual.

Hi all,
I am still learning having started 4 months ago however I have very good knowledge of my institution such as the number of staff, the organizational chart, the roles and responsibilities of each staff member. The mission and vision of the institution, the criteria for admission and the programs that are offered.

Since I recently took the position of an Admissions Officer, I have made it a point ask for the school's organizational structure. Then, I scheduled a meeting with each department head. In these meetings, I have learned what each dept. does and their responsiblities. This has provided me with good insights on my institution.

I would rate my knowledge level to be good. I know about the different programs we offer and the the cost of the programs. I am still discovering the certification exams each program requires to seek employment.

I would rate my Knowledge about this institution at a high level. I learned it's important to keep a postive mindset, and be always willing to learn something new.
