James,
You bring up an excellent point regarding the taking of minutes in a meeting. It is an important record for the school and the people involved to make sure everyone has a clear understanding. This can also be used for management of staff as you suggested.

Iliana,
Meetings with other staff such as Education or Career Services will give admissions reps additional opportunities to further their knowledge of the school.

Nelida,
Sounds like you have many opportunities for training. Thank you for your posting.

The admissions staff has a weekly meeting with the DOA, Campus Director, and/or the CEO. Also, our Campus Director and/or CEO also conducts a weekly manager's meeting in which the admissions staff rotates the team member in attendance. The admissions rep then reports meeting notes back to the rest of the team. The admissions team also holds weekly impromptu meetings as job, admissions policies, and regulatory requirements update or change.

I attend regular staff meetings at my school that discuss changes, new policies or updates to our department or any or any department for that matter. Also online seminars such as this one to further sharpen my skills as an Admissions Representative.

I am attending a weekly staff meeting where team work and communication is emphasized. Any changes or concerns are addressed that we may have a positive learning environment. We are encouraged to learn more about each others job so that we can understand different aspects of the students experience.

I like the weekly staff meetings where each department weighs in on what is happening in their department. I get a lot of information as how to handle certain subjects brought up by students. The more I know, the better I can help others.

As A Regional Director of High School Admissions I hold a weekly call/training. I have my Executive Assistant sit in on every meeting to take minutes. Part of this is documenting role call and submitting Meeting/training attendance into every representatives employee file.

We have training within our admissions teams to better educate us on admissions policies, regulatory requirements and ATI's policies

I have attended Pivot Point training. I have taken webinars on the admission process. I go to the semi annnual two day conference on all aspects affecting the school system. We have weekly meetings to keep up to date

Jessica,
I hope that you have opportunities to ask questions and discuss different situations at these meetings. They can be very informative.

At our campus we have daily meetings that keep us updated about what changes that may have occurred.

We have daily huddles and constant updates

meetings and updates here are constant. Daily huddles etc

Cynthia,
Excellent advice. Thank you for posting.

Maria,
Meeting with faculty will give you an opportunity to discuss any program or curriculum related questions.

Mindy,
Excellent communication links are extremely important to keeping up-to-date.

We have weekly meetings to discuss not only performance but also on new events, policies, procedures, events, policies, etc....on whats going on within admissions dpt and our institution.

Weekly on Fridays, I attend an admissions meeting and a falculty meeting.

We have weekly admissions meetings 2-3 times a year we meet with the Directors of all other departments for updates.

We are also told of any updates in between meetings.
