Denise,
It also protects the school and the student.

Cindy,
Knowledge, understanding and implementation.

I feel that it holds us accountable and makes us a better admissions representative.

With all of the new regulatory requirements, what would be the key to keeping an organization in compliance?

It just ensures that an Admissions Rep stays compliant. I dont beleive that it should have much of an impact on how any of us work. We should always be informative and ethical when dealing with people in general.

CIE requirements and regulations are there to protect students rights and make sure that they are given truthful information about the school, program, and job opportunities that they are interested in. As an admissions professional it is important to stay compliant to the regulations and rules of the commission and of our accrediting agency. This compliance tied to the commitment to do the right thing for the student ensures my continued success as well as that of my team and my school.

The CIE requirements are essentially a guide to operating quality programs while utlizing the tools set forth by CIE to effectively maintain records and implement policies. CIE has set forth a standard of excellence by creating a streamline of rules and statues to be utilized statewide which allows programs to be mirrors to others while not providing the same trainings but still maintianing the same policies and procedures to improve consistency.

It guides the way we present information to prospective students, as well as how we keep records - it affects every aspect of how we organize and run our school.

Emma,
Rules and policies change quickly. Sounds like you have a great plan.

Training provided by the CIE allows me to round-out areas that are not specific to my school. As required information and policies become available our school can modify current procedures to be in-line with CIE policies. This being said and the fact that change is constant it allows be to stay on top of current event as it effect my position.

Clay,
So many people confuse those two terms!

Lorraine,
Compliance is so important. It means licensure, accreditation and public trust.

The requirements affect you in that you have to know the various rules in order to speak effectively and confidently to prospective students. I receive inquiries quite often as to whether our institution is accredited. Most don't really know what that even means when they ask, they've just been told to ask. You need to know the differences between accreditation and licensure and whether you institution is both or doesn"t have to be accredited.

It's very important to be up to date on all requirments in order to stay in compliance and perform your job in a satisfactory manner.

Ensuring that we are delivering accurate information based upon rules and regulations. Fair Consumer Practices are enforced to protect the students and should be!

Ae Sun,
The regulations are there to protect both the student and the school.

This affects us tremendously. CIE ensures the admissions dept that we follow all rules and regulations

Lucia,
This provides a wonderful opportunity for you. Glad to see you are taking advantage of these relationships.

Diane,
Rules can be changed any time during the year. Both CIE and FAPSC work hard to keep the schools informed. Check their websites regularly.

Lucia,
Honesty and integrity are the important factors in remaining compliant. When we don't know, we get information from those who can give direction.
