We conduct extensive interviews complete with tours of the facility and introduction to chairperson of the identified program of interest.

Absolutely, there is the Wonderlic testing along with disclosures for any criminal convictions

I must state at my current place of employment I have had an active role in revitalizing the program admissions process in implementing writting assigments, requiring submisssion of a resume checking references, ect. The modifications have boosted the graduation and placement rate for our Allied Health programs.

I strongly believe during the initial interview that an admissiom's representative must establish and maintain rapport to build their trust and confidence. Admission reps are sometimes the only positive role model in prospective students and showing they care and to let them know you are here for them no matter what is all they need to successful.

My school just modified their interview process to focus completely on career planning giving the prospective student a better chance to think about their career goals and what needs to be done to reach them.

We have an entrance exam also. We allow them to retest. This can help when a student is intimidated and then is familiar with the type of test they are taking the second time.

For more difficult programs or programs which require certain skill sets, our institution requires an entrance exam and offers ways for remediation.

I think all students are qualifed to succeed. However, some have not been given the life skills to complete or suceed in a college program.

Ohio Business College works hard to retain our students and to help them believe they can compete and complete college level programs.

We have worked to strengthen our existing admissions process in order to ensure our students are qualified to be successful in our program.

Our institution has made sure our admissions requirements are updated to regulatory standards. Student services has also made a conscious effort to work with the students placement as graduation approaches.

Yes our College makes sure our placement rates are up to date as well as graduation rates and I like that because we are dealing with very informed students now adays

We have a evaluation that all students must take. This ensures that they have the basic comprehension to meet the minimum grades in their new programs. We offer free tutoring and one on one attention from the instructors.

Our prospective students are interviewed by 3 people as part of our admissions process as well fingerprinted for an FBI background check (to work with children), required transcripts, 5 references and other documents assuring their motivation and ability. We also do a psycho-social evaluation by a licensed social worker to hopefully find out any information which would prevent them from succeeding, if any, and/or to know of any constraints that we, as a school, can help them with throughout our program. For instance, if we know that a student has a learning disability which would hinder their test taking, we can make amends for them in advance by arranging for them to take the test orally or give them extra time. We work closely with our small classes and get to know our students very well and help them to succeed. We offer resume help, interview training, ettiquette and professionalism classes in addition to the intense coursework.

We implemented a Perfect Attendance Award. It is our belief that students with good attendance records while in school will continue the same good performance for their employers.

During the interview, prospective students meet with career services and also have a second interview with the DOA. This helps to increase the buy-in from our students which increases graduation rates.

Tutoring is available from begining to end. Students who may be in need are supported by each and everyone in our organization. Students first.

We discuss the issues of being a successful student. We have a program which allows a student 30 calendars to withdraw without economic impact (no fee) if they were academically challanged or "life" makes it impossible for them to continue. We are the only organization that offers this.

Our student's do take an entry test and are subject to attendance as well.

We actually go over the importance of completing the program and we always share the retention rates and placment rates. We also have an accuplacer assisment to help with making sure they are acadimically ready for the program.

Yes, we have added an entrance test and the students go though an interview process to make sure our school is the right fit for them.
