It's great to see these multiple touch points on items from various departments within the school. Thanks for sharing, Ramon.
Great point, Erin. The significant amount of information can be overwhelming. I have seen some on this chain mention that they touch on these points at multiple stages of the enrollment process which also helps to reinforce understanding.
Racquel - I like to see this involvement from the academic program directors to answer such questions.
The admissions representative provides the applicant with the disclosures. Once the applicant reads the disclosure, he/she signs and dates each form. The forms are kept as part of their academic file. The Registrar reviews each file prior to the applicant starting school to ensure they have signed all required disclosure forms.
Not only does the admission reps interview the students to go over all requirements, but the students also have the opportunity to meet with the program directors to ensure that any questions that were not answered in admissions, will be reiterated or re-emphasized with the Program Directors.
The admissions reps. inform the students verbally and have them sign a disclosure agreeement, this is a part of the packet with various disclosure forms which goes into the students personal files along with completed enrollment agreements.
To ensure compliance, our home office produces standard forms for us to use. And to be certain that each student has read and understands, they all sign it and we keep it on file. When entering school, there is a lot of information given to each student and sometimes they dont absorb it all. So, keeping a copy of their signature help us keep track.
Our campus admissions department provides all potential students with a catelogue and addendum if appropriate, as well as all required disclosures requiring the student sign a receipt form. The reps have a check list to be sure they have covered all disclosures& receivied all needed signatures.
All prospective students are shown the required disclosures by their admissions representative. It is the job of the admissions rep to explain the information on the disclosures, and then have the prospective student sign the document, showing their understanding. In addition, senior managers each keep copies of the disclosures for current students in case any questions arise once the enrollment agreement has been executed.
We have an accountability system in place that includes the Director of Admissions, our School Director, ARC, Financial planner. We also post within student catalog all disclosures regarding placement, national average income, and placement rates. All personal disclosures for enrolled students are private.
In addition to providing every prospective student with a school catalog, the Admissions Rep also provides a packet of disclosures and has them sign an acknowlegement form.
Admissions make the students aware of multiple discloses and verified per signature. Some of these disclosures include:
Placement rates,
Information regarding financial aid which is
broken down by race and gender;
Entry level salary disclosure,and
Student diversity.
Beginning with the initial visit, students receive the most current programmatic placement rates.
All school disclosures are included in the school catalog provided to every prospective student who come in for admission to the school. The Admission Representatives explain these disclosures to the prospective student and further explanations are provided as the student is brought to the specific academic program and Financial Aid and Business Office processing the application for admission. Student orientations are also handled by Student Services and disclosures are further discussed with the student.
Admissions verbally discusses this with prospective students during the interview process. Also, students receive academic catalogs which include required disclosures.
Admissions discussed and gives all disclosures
The admission reps give the student and reviews the data with the student
Our admission reps disclose info to potential students as well as we offer enrollment agreements that disclose all info for the current term.
Another great point - while signed acknowledgements may be helpful, it doesn't change the fact that students may still be unhappy. The clearer the understanding up front, the better.
Timothy - thanks for sharing. I like the indea of having a convenient binder available for quick reference.
