In Admissions Again

I have been in the educational field working environment since 1984.  I started in Accounting and worked my way into the last postion there I held was Junior Accountant.  I received an AS/CIS back in 1989.  At that time we started coming up on the computer system, one department at a time.  I started writing detailed instructions of how each field and instructions for each screen for the departments of the college.  It was fun to get to know a little about each department.  In time I was able to assist in the different departments as we got very busy… >>>

Old Department Chair Learning New Tricks!

Greetings,

I am a department chair for the nursing program on our campus.  Learning the "agent's" role is a new side of the administration for me.  I new that there were regulations that guided admissions policies and procedures but did not know where they came from until I completed this course.  Standardization of the regulations is an excellent way to keep and "eye" on what all schools are doing and to ensure everyone is playing fair.  I found this to be a very enlightening experience!

New Admissions Coordinator

This course proved to be very helpful in my first week of training. After completing the course and taking the final exam I feel that I am much more aware of the importance of compliance in this type of setting. It was very beneficial and I am greatful that I was able to take part in this learning experience.

feedback on CM202

CM 202 course was very informative and will help me to be successful.

Importance of proper training as a new employee

Proper training of employees helps to stop bad habits from being created, especially when dealing with legal issues. This training  was very helpful in that it insured I was aware of all rules and regulations. I will apply what I have learned into my everyday practices at work. Working honestly and fairly is what will bring success to companies, teachers, students and representatives.

New Admissions Employee

I found this training to be informative and beneficial to my future success.

CM105- Part of Orientation for New Associates

This course is very informative. I think new employees should be obliged to take this course within the first 90 days of employment.

Be a professional

Like any profession, working with admissions can be challenging. You are dealing with, most of the time, young adults who are trying to make decisions for their future's. It is so very important that as an admission's rep. you provide them with the most accurate and relevant information. One of the things this course has given me is a better understanding of the rules and regs that govern my profession. You're never to old to learn and you never know it all, continued study is what make's a true professional.

Training!

This course was very beneficial and an excellent learning tool.

Course 251 FEEDBACK

I have taken a few of these online courses with the site. This was by far the most difficult course that i have ever taken!!!!!!!!

CM305: Course Feedback

The importance of training programs such as CM305 cannot be overstated for admission representatives and recruiters but also for any school employee who is exposed to questions from prospects. The key is, unless you are a subject matter expert, do not provide "an answer" in the absence of the "correct answer". Integrity and compliance demands accuracy and truthfulness, which will benefit all involved.

Course evaluation

I found this course to be helpful.  The information in this course was something everyone can benefit from.

Importance of Compliance

Taking this course is very relevant to what we (working in Admissions) do on a daily basis.  These questions (regarding accrediation/competitive institutions/tuition/placement/etc.) will come up on a daily basis.  Knowing how to accurately answer these questions is essential to our abilities to do our jobs correctly.  Being compliant to all regulations is absolutely necessary to guarantee that your students have an accurate understanding of what your program can offer them.

Compliance

This course helped me as a new employee to get a better understanding of how the Admissions Department works and the specific expectations each Admissons Representative has.  Though I don't deal directly with the students during their enrollment process, it is beneficial to know what standards our school has in place.  I believe following these rules and regulations could be challenging at times, but the advantages of transparency far outweigh the disadvantages.  This course was overall very helpful and informative.

Learned So Much

I learned so much. It helps alot to know where we stand and why. Knowing what we can and cannot say is gives me much more confident in my position.

CM102 Learning

I did learn a lot from this course. I learned a lot regarding financial aid and about FERPA. I did not know much about the rules and regulations regarding those issues and now I feel that it will help me greatly with my job as a Student Services Coordinator.

enjoyed the program

I enjoyed the program.  It was very informative.  While I am not in admissions or finance, I found the information important to me as I work in the GE Department.

learning compliance

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER IS GOOD TO LEARN EACH DAY INSPIRE ME TO KEEP KNOWNING AND TO PRACTICE A VALUE PREMIES..AND LEARNING ALL THE DO N DON'TS ALL THE BEST..

Review of the course

This course was a great course. I was not familiar with many of the rules and regulations and the Fair Consumer Practices. Now I am on my way to practice what I have learnt and to ensure that the school reflects the best admission practices as deemed by the CIE.

We must support our students for them to be successful. By abiding by professional standards we are teaching them to model good professional practices.

Final thoughts

I was honestly pleasantly suprised with the modules this time around. I was easily engaged and held interest with the different activities, videos, and passages. I enjoyed learning more about compliance and regulations that I was not as familiar with (ie, marketing, career services).
