ED 104

Although I have taken training and course with much of this information, I found reviewing it very benifical with reminders along the way.  It is easy to get set in pattern or routine and by going over these reminders it allows for self examination.  Good course!

Course 105 was awesome!

I learned a great deal from this course. I took away alot of new information that I can use in my classroom, in order to help my students!

ED 104

This is the 4th class I have tanken and must admit that ED 104 is the most applicatable. Keep up the good work.

ED 101 Applying Techniques

This course has given me a great deal of tools to better prepare and teach my class.  Getting to know my students has given me a better idea of where they are coming from and where they want to go.  Also, it helped me in ways to identify how they learn best and to vary teaching methods during class.

Language

I know this will not be popular, but I have taught long enough to know that some students (as instructors) do not have the skills and never will to be in the classroom.

Applying what you learn

I have my students write a reflective paper for their final exams in which they detail what they have learned and how they will be able to apply it in their personal and professional lives.  While it is closed book, they know the question ahead of time so they can give it some thought.  I really try to emphasize throughout the course that writing is used in all fields and ineffective communication can have disasterous effects.  This is particularly true for students who are studying in the health care fields.  Now if I could only convince them of the value of… >>>

ED 103

This was a great course that really did open my eyes to a variety of new avenues to use to prepare my lectures and presentations.  The different methods of tests and the reasons to use them was great.

Interesting class

I always felt that I had a pretty strong background in pedagogy but there were several tips that I was able to learn from this course.  In the past I have been pretty flexible with deadlines, but I am finding that this is actually doing a disservice to my procrastinating students.  I had already tightened my requirements and this course reinforced my feelings in this regard.  I would have liked to have seen a section on dealing with plagiarism.  Perhaps for another forum?  Thanks

Effective Teaching

Great to learn different teaching techniques for different individuals.  Everyone learns a little differently so these tools will be effective in reaching the individual student.

Ed 112

This class was a very good review of the topics in regards to ways of better reaching my adult students.

Ed 101

Taking course Ed 101 has really helped me see how important first impression can be.

Taking courses 101 thru 111 has helped me teaching in the classroom.  I approach each course differently. I don't feel so overwhelmed.

Handling Stress

While I understand the definite need for handling stress, I do believe that some people just need to learn what works for them. Keeping things bottled up did not work for me; by bottling things up, I assisted my body in having heart attacks. However, some of the coping mechanisms expressed would cause me more stress than the stressor itself.

ED113

A must have training for all adult instructors/teachers

Stratagey

Learning stratagies have helped me greatly in the classroom.

ED 112

I truly wanted to recommend the training and insights that I got from this particular training in Ed 112. To have learned the way that my students think or feel motivated gave me the experience to now empathize best with them in future courses. Perhaps this will be a great tool for us as well to also apply retention techniques that will certainly help us be motivational for them, and in the future, as the students may see us as role models and also guides in their careers (mentors). What does everyone think about this?

ED105

I think that this course had a lot of useful information and can't wait to apply some what I learned to my class.  I think that it will be very helpful and look forward to taking my other courses.

ed104

The course was well layed out and easy to understand. What was presented will definately help in my class.

Great Course Materials

I found the course to assist me in looking a many ways to assess my students. I think grading needs to be the same across the board and not based on who the student is. If you are fair and all have the same expectations, they will respect the comments and strive to do better next time. Explain why they received the grade in detail and be open to questions.

ED 106

I found this course very helpful and I recommend it for anyone who wants to learn new techniques to enhance student learning.
