ED 103

This course is very informative and helpful.I learnt a lot as course progresses. Some of the questions and answers we use in our daily classroom.

important

i think this course is really interesting and helpfull for all instructor and specially for me that i'm in my iniatial time of my career as instructur, thank for the knowledge

Open Forum

As always, it is a pleasure to have resources such as those provided by MaxKnowledge to have an open Forum to utilize the groups past and current ideas that may benefit my students.

ED104

I found the course content very helpful to me in identifying student's needs in understanding the course content that I teach.

Dave Hladik-ED104

I found ed104 course was very good in reconizing different types of students and how to manage classes a lot better.

Relate

Whenever you venture off into a professional experience story, be sure that you can come full circle and relate the story to the subject at hand.  It is upsetting to the class flow when an instructor finishes up a fantastic tale from the field, has the students undivided attention, then has to dramatically shift gears back to the lesson for the day.  Being able to tie it all together seamlessly builds rapport and trust between instructors and students.

Organization

Being organized inside and out is very important as an instructor.  Your students watch everything you do and they will respect you more if they see that you are on top of things.  Being organized will also assist with time management and decreasing stress.

summary

Appreciation is offerred for the attention to the importance of listening, episodic memory, group size (and the personality of the individual members) as well as what the student brings to the table (or desk as it may be)

High Energy

It is very important to begin your class with high energy, and open-ended questions regarding the students background, and goals for their careers. if you don't have a clear picture of where the stdents have been, and what their career goals are, a lot wil be missed!

Intent on getting the student's attention

I completely agree it is important to begin a class lecture with a statement intent on getting the student's attention is an interesting concept and one I will use over and over again.

Gen Y

I learned a lot about Gen Y. I knew very little about this group. They are different from my group the Baby Boomers. I knew some things about Gen X but not much with the Gen Y group. I have learned how to relate to their instructional method which will help in the classroom.

Begining a Lecture

Beginning a class lecture with a statement intent on getting the student's attention is an interesting concept and one I will use more often.

ED 105

I found it interesting to see the various approaches other instructors use to overcome the challenges described in ED 105.  The variety of tools availalbe for use, the use of various forms of instructional media and the online resources available to enhance the lerning experience of our students was very helpful.  It's always great to get other points of view and also good to see so many have the same issues regardless of location.  ED 105 was an excellent experience and I recommend it to all.

Diversity is Power

I really enjoyed the interaction of participants in the forums while taking courses.  Even when dealing with content areas that I feel I have "mastered", I never had difficulty looking at a different perspective that enabled me to consider additional viewpoints.  I recognize the power and influence of creative professionals discussing key topics and sharing perspectives and solutions to real-world issues we educators face everyday.

I would highly encourage every participant to enter into each course with an open mind and an open notebook....

ED 115 Soft Skills for Instructors

I am always impressed with the simple things that Harvard decides to study, but honestly they probably reveal more about us than behaviors which we rarely use.

So kudos to everyone who took the time to study soft skills, it is yet another skill that we as teachers can use to better our classrooms.

And thanks for the opportunity to learn.
