Sharing keys

I would love to share keys to staying enthused with those who have experienced difficult classes where students are challenging.

Enjoyed the course

After using some of the techniques in the course I found myself more confident

ED101

I enjoyed this course and I think it's a great beginning for new instructors.  It's also a great way to help instructors who have been in the field for a while to remember the basics again.

ED 102

This is a great course that helps us, as instructors, understand how to increase the level of student retention, how to encourage them and make them feel valuable. I have learned so much about how instructor enthusiasm allows students to remain focused and excited about their classes. Also, it is important that they feel comfortable and respected in the classroom, so they can share their own personal experiences and thoughts that are relevant to the course, which helps them learn from each other as well.

This course really helped me, I found it to be informative and have great suggestions.

Effective Teaching Strategies

I found this training to be most helpful. It re-enforces teaching methods.

ED103

I enjoyed this particular course.  The first thing I will do each phase is evaluate what type of learners I have in my classes (visual, audio, written or kinesthetic).  This will allow me to better assist the different type of learning styles I have in my classroom.

Teaching by games

I was told when I first started at my job I did to many games.  My students learned the material an retained it and thats what counts.  I'm so glad to see this course, makes me realize I have always been doing things right and creatively.

Identifying symptoms of stress

This module helped me to identify symptoms that I did not realize were stress related.  I have found that my breathing becomes irregular while under stress.  I rely more on caffeine when under stress.  My commute is a big stressor as well.  I watch television too late at night which reduces my sleep time adding to fatigue.  I'm a mess!  I will definitely be making some changes, like: exercizing, reducing caffeine intake, and getting to bed earlier!

ed101

I had to re-take ed101 after two years to renew my certificate, and I'm really glad I did. It's always so great to refresh tools, concepts and approaches that enhance our teaching experience. Great class!

Surprise

I am always looking to bring "real life" into the classroom. I love the crisis situation. So many time s I have had students comment that they didn't think that working in the doctors office could be so stressful and demanding. We give them the skills and knowledge but little bits at a time and with the crisis we can create a crisis in the office, but do it in a realistic way to have them better prepared on what can happen on a daily basis. Even when it is another "employee" not showing up for work.

ED103

I have found this to be the most helpful class to date. I have only been teaching for ~4 years and this has really opened my eyes to many new teaching practices I can introduce into my class room.

Online Educators

This class was very interesting and helps educators within the online environment!

effective teaching skills

in order for learning take place in the class room the instructor should develop a teaching style there is effective and caters to the individuals needs of the students.

ed103

i enjoyed this class- feel like i got a better understand of what the students need to succeed better in the class room setting

Course 108, very educational

It is good to know the names of the different strategies I have been applying in class and learn new ways also.

What a Great Opportunity

This is a good way for educators to share experiences.
