learned something new!

I really liked this course because it taught alot of things that I knew, and some things I didn't know. Also, I am trying to incorporate ideas discussed in this course into my classes now! I enjoyed it.

Always New

I have a bit of experience when it comes to the adult classroom and yet I learned a great deal from the ED103 module focused on the new instructor. Just goes to show that we are always 'new'.

EL101----Excellent overview and refresher

I enjoyed this course (as well as the others that I have taken) through the site. They provide excellent information on topics that I am unfamiliar with, and serve as a useful refresher for those items with which I am already familiar.

ED101: Really informative.

I'm really glad that I had the opportunity to take this course.  I really learned a lot from it.  I actually applied some of what I learned into my classroom already and I could see the difference.  I'm really looking forward to taking more classes.

ED310

The more courses I take the more i learn and it is awesome to see how it is affecting not only my class but myself as well.

I am learning a lot from these CBTs and plan to read and contribute to the forums for more advice.

ED102

Interesting course, gained knowledge to utilize inclassroom setting.

ED104

I learned alot from ED104.  I now have the tools to decide how to react to certain situations.

ED 107

This forum presented so many wonderful ideas to involve students in the responsibility of their own learning process.  I will apply to classes across the board.

ED 108

Most of my professional career has been spent in the public school setting.  I have been teaching adult learners now for seven years.  So many of my past education courses were about theories.  This course does a marvelous job of applying these theories/principles to the very people I teach now.  Your suggestions are so appreciated and practical!

ED 110

I believe that juggling life is one of the main reasons students drop out of our school.  I can hardly wait to share some of these techniques with them.  As a person who likes to stay busy, I often overplan things to do and as a result I get depressed when I do not do all of the things on my "to Do List" daily.  I will be adding an "IT" = If Time to those items that aren't necessary to be completed on that day.

ED 104

This class has provided me with strategies to overcome the potential mistakes that new teachers make regardless of their environment.  This class reiterated it is important to model the behavior you want from your students in order to prepare them for the work place such as being on time for class and be prepared. It highlights the purpose of a syllabus and how it will be used and the importance of instituting a late policy and lastly, how to handle a verbal exchange with a student. Overall, this class had many great ideas on how to make the most of… >>>

REFOCUS

I really enjoy the REFOCUS acronym featured in the EN102 course.

  • · Recognize
  • · Empower
  • · Focus
  • · Objectivize
  • · Commit

done!

There were some good points for both beginning and seasoned instructors

ED106

I really enjoyed this learning module. The information on the various leaning disabilities was really interesting. Many of the topics in the module I already use in the classroom but this module offered ways to enhance my teaching and offer a more inclusive classroom.

New and Excited!

I just completed ED101 and I will be in the classroom soon.  I am excited to try all technquies learned in this lesson to see which styles and methods will work best for me.

A great reinforcer.

ED 111 -

I often try to make the classroom experience interactive and try new things from semester to semester.  ED 111 reinforced some ideas and techniques to use in educating my students.  This course also provided some ideas for creating rubrics and reinforcements that I believe are an asset in the learning experience.  I cant help but wonder if certian students might even be drawn to a major because of the interactivity of the program. I think it most major classes could incorporate these techniques students wold feel in more control of their learning and activated in their learning process.

ED 104 Lights, Camera, Action!

This was definitely a refreshing course.  No matter how long you teach, there is always something to learn.  It is always important that I continue to evolve as an instructor.  I can only take my students to another level by taking myself there.  I will continue to think the best of my students at all times.  I will envision them already in the profession that they are pursuing.  This will help me to stay focused and continue to be consistent and dedicated.  After this semester, I will assess those things that worked and those that did not and start off… >>>

Refreshing Content

ED101 reminded of some good habits that I need to use more aggressively. Also, motivated me to blog on learning names.  I am good with learning names by actively using techniques like associating names, faces and happy memories; grouping names together according to where people sit (e.g. Jim, Joe, Sue in aisle two); and not being afraid to ask for it again, then use it immediately.
