The modules were informative and well organized. Reading through peer reflections on course topics was interesting as well.

out of all the courses I have taken, this one was by far my favorite.  I enjoy instructing the clinical classes, and now I have the knowledge to make the classes even more exciting and interesting than they already are.  Thank you so much for this course.

I'm glad I took the Gen Y course, it gives me a better understanding of the different generational characteristics, that make learning different for each group.

I enjoyed this course. I love psychology and enjoyed applying the principles to teaching adult learners in the classroom.

Effective Teaching Strategies

This course has given me such powerful tools to help me become a better instructor. Teaching techniques have come along way since the 70's. As an instructor I know how important it is to hold the attentions of our students so any and all ideas are welcome. I have really enjoyed

stress

I found this course useful in identifying potenetial stressors. I know stress can come down the chain from the top. I think management personal need to remember this. Just because issues arise at the top doesn't mean issues at the bottom have gone away. Until everyone communicates constantly, we all will be the dog chasing the tail!

I really enjoyed this course! I feel as though I got a lot out of it, and will be able to implement what I have learned within my classroom.

This course especially made me question my delivery methods, and also my use of extra credit and whether or not it would truly benefit my students in the long run.

I feel that with each course I complete, I am improving as an Instructor. Being new to the field of teaching, this is vital to me. I can't wait for the next chance to learn!

SBI

I believe that the contents of the information that Ive learned will benefit me further in my teaching.

Student retention is very important and needs more attention from instructors and our campus.

I just completed my training and it confirms how our attitudes and attention to each student is important.  To motivate and guide them through the journey of their program of education.   Understanding the situation this students can have as barrier and provide assistance to overcome some of the challenges.

Neurotics in the workplace

One of the "taboo topics" is that there are individuals in this business who are neurotics.  They may or may not be instructors.  They could be anyone in the organization.

These individuals have more than the usual and "normal" psychological baggage that we all have to one extent or another.  Theyare, as we say, "certifiable."

When these dragons are lose they make everyone around them miserable.

I had the opportunity of tracking one of these individuals as an unofficial consultant to a school manager and an instructor.  It is a wonder that the school did not get sued.

Sharing the information on learning disabilities

I found the additional information on communications with studnets of learning disabilities very valuable.  I am sharing with my other dental faculty especially when it pertains to new concepts in dentistry.  We are on a pattern of giving the lectures with immediate hands on techniques demonstrating the material presented.
