It gives the students a so called "road map" to what it is that they will be doing in class that day. Students have a clear understanding as to what they will accomplish and be expected to learn.

Constructing learning objectives makes sure that you have taught your students to key points of a subject matter, and these objectives should also correlate to their assessments.

In the technical world students must be able to take a set of instructions then perform those instructions by either hands on or trouble shooting procedures . By having clear objectives you are training the student to follow steps just like he/she would do in the field.

So that the objectives are relevant to the content being taught and necessary for the student to understand.

It is important because the students need to know what they are learning, how they will learn it and why they are learning it. Learning objectives should be focused on student performance. I believe a good learning objective shouldn't be too abstract.

Each day, my lecture begins with objectives for the day so the students have an idea of what topics we'll be covering.

It helps with student engagement because they will know what they'll be learning and how it will help them in their chosen field.

The value of learning to construct learning objectives is important because it gives the students a picture of the content they need to learn and the skills they will develop. They get the bigger picture to start and then each class is prepared with learning objectives to reinforce outcomes that relate to our standards and add up to our overall goal. I want my students to feel a sense of accomplishment for each class as well as the overall outcome.

It is important for the students to understand their learning objectives because it gives the students a way to categorize the information they have learned in the class.

Learning objectives act as waypoints along the path to their educational and career success. Without well defined waypoints, students can easily become distracted or lost which can result in lost focus in their classes.

It is important for the students to know what the objectives of the course are and how it will relate to them and their ultimate goals.
Students frequently ask why this course is important for them and what they will use in their careers.

It is important because it gives the instructor as well as the student an idea of what is going to be taught and helps keep them on track with the syllabus.

it helps them understand the concepts of organizing within the work enviroments.

If the learning objectives are constructed properly the students and the instructors will know what the students should be able to do by the end of the class and measure to what extent they are able to do it.

I have a whiteboard and put up today's lesson, what we covered yesterday and what will be done tomorrow. At the end of class, I wrap up what we learned, what is to be done tomorrow as well as the remainder of the week. This lessens the anxiety some of my students have about learning things that are totally foreign to them.

The students need an idea of what they should get out of the lessons. It gives them areas to focus on. It also sets standards of performance for them on assessments. They know when they have gotten everything they need to know out of the material and lessons when all the objectives are met. For the instructor, it gives a framework for presenting the material in a logical, learnable way for the students. The instructor can make sure to cover everything by meeting all the objectives so nothing important is left out. Objectives give the instructor starting points for creating assessments.

I also write the learning objectives on the board and a time schedule to accomplish our goals. This helps the student to think about these objectives and recall knowledge relating to them. Also, it keeps both the students and me on track.

It is vital for students to know what they need to obtain from a lesson or course material. It gives them a goal to reach and they see the results at the end.

I think that learning objectives are important for the student and the instructor. For the instructor it allows us to see how the students are doing on different topics and where we might need to change or add activities, examples, definitions, etc. to ensure that the student is accomplishing these objectives. For the student it reassures them that they are being taught the tools that they need to be able to succeed and that they are not just being given "busy work".

This is important because students need to see what direction the lesson will go for each week. Helps them to know where the focus areas are and keeps them paying attention to what is being taught.
