Its the road map for students to be engaged and succesfully comprehend as to what is required from them.

I think having the objectives on the board helps you as an instructor stay on course. it also helps the students, they have something visual to look at to see what has to be done on that day as well as what was accomplished that day.

I agree, the structure of an objective focused plan for the student that is communicated to the student, helps them focus what is expected of them in the class.

It helps the students to be more prepared for the class; knowing in advance the content of the day they can do some research previous the class.

Because my student needs to understand what im trying to teach him that day so i can move on with something else the next day

Having clear learning objectives helps eliminate ambiguity for the instructor as well as the student. When both are on the same page it will lead to efficient teaching and learning because the desired objectives are specific.

In the various fields I have worked in over the years, a well defined set of objectives acts as a focus point for what you are planning to do. If something you want to add to your content is not in the objectives, you need to review the item in detail against the specifications and other course requirements to determine the applicability of the contant. If it doesn't apply, look for another location to include the material, rewrite the objectives or leave out the material.

If I can express what the student will attain via my classes in a simple complete manner and use this as my map to guide the student, they will know where we are going to end up. This gives the student an anchor to ensure progress is being made and also to see the goals and rewards and value at the end

I can see now that having clear objectives is critical. When the learning objectives are made clear, the students have an understanding of what they are attempting to learn. The instructor also benefits because he is able to focus on what the students are supposed to be gaining from the course material.

learning objectives are the foundation of any subject. This build the learing platform in almost every lecture.

learning objective gives the student a sense of direction. It let the student understand what subject will be covered and in what ordered.

when students are given their clinical objectives at the beginning of the term they have a better understanding of what they will be graded on during the term

It will give a measure of weight (or importance) to the subject matter. It will help students understand the "why" along with the "what" of the course.

Without objectives and measures to those objectives, the learning is hindered and cannot be tailored to the learner.

interestingly the planning I did in advance of the the presentations reignited my own passions for the subject matter. This in turn improved, to my estimation, the content and approach. Then incorporation of outside learning materials, including a guest speaker and a trip to a Motion Picture rental facility made the class relevant to the Motion Picture Industry for my students.

It helps students to have an idea what are things that they will learn in the subject matter.

It is very imlportant that students be provided with as much information as we can possibility provide

Constructing learning objectives is an integral part of teaching, in that it gives the instructor a basis for which to build lesson plans, and assessments. It also aids the instructor on building a course structure with which to base the progression of the course on.

This can help give students the outline that is going to be delivered each day, lecture and any lab tasks that will be expected and what criteria is going to be expected.

Learning objectives are important to guide the structore of the assessment rubrics, procedures of the course and ensure that you are meeting curriculum standards.
