I have combined my resourse book with my admissions training book and I've found that having all of the information handy has been really beneficial to me. I have more confidence knowing that I can access the information on my own and Im prepared at all times!

Marketing: This is the general concept of reaching out to prospective students through many different media outlets including radio, TV, print ads, and many more. Marketing can assist an institution in developing an identifiable brand that the public is able create a bridge between the advertising campaign and the institution itself.

The terms commonly used during the admission include: Enrollment Agreement, Programs and Commission. But, there are other Terms which we pay attention, for example, Catalog, Internship, Payment Plan and Cancellation and Refund Police. We like and prefer the students are well informed before they signing the Enrollment Agreement.

-Catalog
-Payment plan

Thanks to ideas introduced on this module we are adding to our resource notebook the schedule of our advertising spots on TV since, based on our historical records, phone calls and walk-in visits raise on that times. Marketing actions require efficient and accurate resource's management.

In our resource notebook we have compiled the following: School Catalog, Policies and Procedures, Enrollment Agreement, Admissions Staff Training, Accreditation, as well as the Organization Chart. Having the Resource Notebook is a great tool. During this course I have learned about the Florida Statutes, compliance regulations and much more.

Hello Patty,

I have added copies of every page including the overview and terms and definitions. I find it handy to be able to refer to a paper document rather than try to find everything online.

I have just begun taking this course, but, while I was reading the first module, I was already planning to use the resource notebook model for all the admission officers who work at the office. A year ago I created something similar, but not quite like this.

It will help to keep us up to date regarding all of the important information we need to give to prospects interested in our university. As soon as I finish writing in this forum, I will be off to make my notebook!

Today is my first day here at the Notter School so as of yet my resource notebook only includes the 2012 catalog and Spring Tasting guide, but I plan to create a very extensive notebook as I go. I have learned a lot more about the indivual courses within the program, time of completion and history of the school. I have taken in a lot of information so far and am looking forward to starting my new career here.

Enrollment agreement, admissions requirements, accredited, Financial Aid, Title IV, are some of the common terms used when speaking to prospects. Admissions must make sure that the prospect understands the definitions to all these terms!

I agree as this information plays a very important role in our ability to remain compliant at all times.

All schools are held to the same rules. Degrees schools have additional requirements based on the level of degree offered.

Daniel,
The title is acceptable. The term "counselor" is unacceptable.

Brianna,

What a great idea! You are bringing your notes to a learning experience. You can share these or just refresh your own knowledge.

The student needs to be fully aware of the terms of their contract with the school. Taking the time to verify they understand will save confusion later.

Patty Aronoff

Natalie,

Scholarships are an excellent opportunity to assist students with payment of their tuition. Scholarships must be established with clear criteria for qualification and include the statement "for those who qualify."

Patty Aronoff

Monica,

Making sure that the paperwork is completed correctly and all sections are done is a very important job in admissions. Compliance and accuracy are first and foremost in executing contracts.
