Susan,

All student records need to be secure and in a locked location. Student records are priviledge and confidential information according to FERPA.

Patty Aronoff

Sam,

Excellent! Make sure to keep your materials current and review often for updates and changes.

carlos,
Organization is key to compliance and success. Knowing what you have and what you need is part of the process.

I will create a folder and put the most important topic on the top.

I have set up a training binder with tabs following the modes as we go I am inserting the Statues and Rules that go along with the topic being covered. I have also added the requied paper work from the college that goes along with the topic we are on.
I include the check list to help , find out information detail

I am keeping a binder with different sections pertaining to topics such as school catalog, enrollment agreement, career services, financial aid, programs, curriculum, etc.

I have a binder notebook that includes important documents from this training, as well as sample documents from my specific institution

I have a binder which contains all material used in our institution...we also have sample files to help guide us, and to maintain our compliance.

Having a personal binder with updated paperwork is an excellent idea, copies of this course and rules and regulations updates is in my plan to institute it immediately. I am also open to new ideas to keep it up to date.
thanks

I have a binder I am filling with all the information I am learning through this course as well as with the information I have learned from my institution as well.

The office staff collects students paperwork upon registering for a class. Review case by case.
Enters pertinent information in a database and files students paperwork alphabetically and in file drawers according to the classes the students are participating in. All records in files are in a secure location.

How are you organizing all the paperwork and information related to completing the admissions training?

In the form of a workbook, using a binder, which will allow me to reference the material in order to better answer prospective student questions clearly and accurately.

Being someone that is very e-friendly I used the .pdf versions of my institutions paperwork & catlaog to create a wiki environment producing a searcahble database I can always click to from my desktop. Using an e-resource like this also allows me the ability to access important information from my mobile device when touring potential students around the campus.

I always keep all my information and paperwork organized in my binder, it is very important as an admissions representative to keep all documents in order and also is easier when you have doubts or questions to look for an specific student's file.

Timothy,

So cool! Continue to make the resource binder a wealth of information. You have organized a great resource.

Patty Aronoff

I have a binder with multiple sections corresponding to the different departments (Admissions, financial aid, registrar, career services, academics...etc) Each section is then divided into appropriate sections, for example academics is divided into the specific academic departments we offer. I also have a separate section for statutes and rules.

I am certain I will add more large sections as well as more sub-sections as I progress through this course and the rest of my training.

donte,

Great news! It sounds like you are very organized. You are building resources that will help you tremendously.
