Jacquelyn,
Excellent! Placing the information in a format for future reference is a learning experience in itself.

Patty Aronoff

I plan on keeping a notebook with all pertinent paperword in it.

Carolina,
So good to hear! Classroom experiences will vary from program to program and from instructor to instructor. Get involved!

Melissa ,

Excellent! Sitting in on class brings it into perspective from a personal side.

Mark,
I agree! I often encourage staff to sit in a classroom and experience it for yourself. Everyone who does says it was very rewarding.

There is nothing better than the classroom experience. As a visual learning, I learn better with the interactions in the classroom and the participation I can bring into the discussion.

some of the best product knowledge I ever got was from sitting in on a class. Experiencing a class first hand and telling the student about your experience is very beneficial for both of you.

There is no better way to convey to a student what the classroom experience is like other than experiencing it yourself. Getting a feel for the teacher's style and the classroom environment is essential to the admissions representative who is discussing the institution with prospective students.

John,

You have a great plan and are being proactive on learning and keeping current with changes.

Karla,
We should understand and be able to speak knowledgeably about all aspects of our school. That is the customer service piece of the student experience.

Keeping up to date includes both my institution's guidelines and the State of Florida as well. I plan on spending at least one hour at the end of each month to meet with my supervisor. During this time I will request notice of any updates of changes in my admissions position as well as future training opportunities I may participate in.

An admissions representative must have a thorough understanding of both the training programs and student services in our institution. directors in all department are great resources for institution information and should be update regularly.

George,
It is very important to understand the roles of others within the school so that we can best serve our students.

Yamileth,
Networking, networking, networking. Three words that make the world come alive.

Patty Aronoff

I plan on staying engaged with the Education, Financial Aid, Student Services, and Placement Department in order to stay up-to-date on changes made. As well as updating my Resource Notebook weekly.

always have a list of contact from different school, job placements and follow up phone calls to maintain relationship with others peers

christina,
I would agree. The classrooms are a great selling point and knowing what is happening in the classrooms is a wonderful opportunity while on tour.

Patty Aronoff

It is imperative that we stay up to date with the classrooms so on tours we are educated to let them know what is getting taught that day.

Edward,

Sitting in on class is such a great experience. I watched students give injections today and came away with a whole new perspective!

Patty Aronoff

Sitting in on a class, talking with current students and asking teachers about homework loads and expectations will help fill-in any information gaps I have. Checking with administration regularly will help keep me up-to-date with changes.
