It really brings the educational to the workplace. They have an opportunity to bring it to fruition before employment.

Many students are very nervous when externship arrives. It is the time to show your learning and skills.

Thank you for your post! It is a great reminder that we need to share our knowledge and bring all departments together to paint the true picture of our institution.

Hands on experience is a great way to learn more. Try sitting in on classes and working along side.
Our school offers more technical programs such as computers and electronics. I aim to learn more about these programs by chatting with the dean and also the program directors so that I am able to learn more so that I am able to speak to this with confidence to potential students.
We offer Healthcare industry diploma and certificate courses. Since I am the Director of Education and develop all curriculum for all courses, I am intimately familiar with the programs offered and how they are taught. However easy it is for me to discuss the programs, I have begun to realize that this knowledge is unique to myself and my position and not held by others that may be describing the programs for prospective students. Your recommendations have made me consider the admissions process from an outsider's point of view and prompted me to revise our orientation process to assist in providing new staff with enhanced working knowledge of our programs, services and requirements from the "ground-up". All too often, upper management forgets that their knowledge is not common to all and they have a responsibility to pass that knowledge on in an easily understandable way. I will take your suggestions to heart as we plan for future personnel growth and training. Thank you for such great insight!
We offer healthcare programs. The best way to learn about the jobs students are training for is to engulf yourself in the industry. Weather it is interviewing professionals currently in the particular career, sitting in on classes or doing other research.
