The agent has more responsibility than the "recruiting" of students which was what I thought of when seeing "admissions agent". Our school is small, so there is much overlapping of responsibilities but I can see that in larger schools, the agent would not be exposed to the workings of the entire school on a daily basis and would have to research and educate him/herself about the entire campus in order to be effective and follow the rules and regulations.
There are a lot of things that I did not pay attention to before the training that I must start paying attention to in order for me to be into compliance.
Lynn,
Today's student is looking to make a very important decision about their future. They are very knowledgeable and our agents need to be as well.
I now feel that agents have to wear multiple hats to be sucessfull, they need to know many other areas than just trying to enroll students.
Greg,
Thank you for your feedback. Keeping yourself current takes effort. The rewards, however, brings you confidence and expertise.
This training has been very informative and there are a few things that I can take from it and implement into my daily fucntions. I appreciate being able to learn more and share that knowledge with others.
Amos,
The state regulations and the University requirements work hand-in-hand. You are off to a great start.
Benjamin,
This is to ensure the compliance of the agent's role in dealing with prospective students.
Allison,
Make sure you keep your notebook up-to-date and information is at your fingertips!
Allison,
Excellent! Being thorough will keep you in compliance.
Kathy,
You are right! We change people's lives and set them on their dreams of the future.
Donna,
Being compliant is the number one priority. Agents must be fully informed and up-to-date.
Luisking,
This is so true. Regular updates are posted. Legislative session will be coming soon.
Jennifer,
Thank you! Best to you in your endeavors.
Jennifer,
Thank you for the feedback. Good luck to you!
Kathy,
For many students, it is the decision of their career to go to school. You are part of their decision making and definitely changing lives.
Josue,
You are correct. It is always a good refresher to review the requirements of your position in order to keep up your personal level of knowledge.
I have a firm foundation on the state regulations. Now I can represent the University by knowing what is needed by the state.
I think it's very good to have such a high bar for the understanding and competence of individuals representing institutions of higher learning in the community.
I am now very aware of the compliance piece related to the notebook.
