Carla,
There can be too many meetings. One employee counted up and had only 52 minutes to actually do his job. Effectiveness is key to productivity.
Patty Aronoff
Zainab,
Meetings are good and healthy if they are managed right. If we spend more time in meetings than doing our jobs, we begin to question their effectiveness.
Patty Aronoff
Kaylie,
It is building a knowledge base alongside buildings a team. Be sure sure to foster questions and learning. We all can be a change agent through a question.
Patty Aronoff
Jose,
I call them "manageable moments" as many times this is the best way to learn.
Patty Aronoff
Rita,
It is! We need the teamwork and building of knowledge in order to be successful.
Patty Aronoff
Marshal,
Excellent! You have a solid communication link within your school. Be sure to ask questions when unsure.
Patty Aronoff
Lisa,
This keeps you well connected. It is also your responsibility to disseminate the information to your staff.
Patty Aronoff
Sandy,
Excellent! Keep notes on what was discussed and refer back to them to ensure the information is retained.
Patty Aronoff
Allison,
All staff meetings bring the entire organization together. Often we are wrapped up in our own departments that we forget about all the others working to support our future graduates.
Patty Aronoff
we have weekly staff meetings with the director of the school monthly conferences calls with the coo of the schools and monthly meetings with the doe and their educational staff, admissions reps meet with their doa's twice a week and training is an everday occurence
In addition to emails we hold weekly meetings as a team that focus on our job, policies, requirements, and the school as a whole. We also get together once a quarter to hold campus wide meeting among all departments so that we are all up to date on processes and whats going on in each department.
We have weekly meetings but it is not good when you start having too many meetings because you can only retain so mush. ones a week is great and not for to long.
Meetings are one thing we don't ever lack at my institution! We have weekly admissions team meetings, one-on-one meetings with admissions representatives and the director, team meetings with the financial aid department and registrar, monthly all staff/faculty meeting, end of semester meetings with all staff/faculty, and then the other random meetings that get thrown in to the mix!
There are a multitude of meetings that we all attend to keep our ducks in a row. Meetings are a good way to get everything straightened out. Especially, before a big group of students come in.
We have Weekly meetings just a short time not to long and sweet. Information is better retain that way too mush info can make your brain shut down with so mush at ones. Bits by Bits.
Meetings are important is a way to keep us up to date and to learn what are the new procedures. It is always good to share experiences to exchange ideas to learn from one another and to motivate of how to keep doing a well done job by following procedures, rules and regulations.
I attend team meetings, program meetings, instructor seminars, director meetings, etc
I attend one on ones with my Reginal Director twice a week as well as occional meetings with the VP of admissions and all the campuses and occasionally staff meetings with my Campus Director.
At our school we have weekly and monthly meetings. Both meetings are mandatory for me to attend.
Cheree,
You are taking a positive approach to learning. It takes bring proactive and having attention to details.
