Weekly meetings with the Admissions Dept and conversations with the instructors also help in what they see in the classroom.
We regularly have meetings where each of the Department Supervisors (Student Services, Employment Services,Financial Aid and Education Managers) will join in the Admissions meetings to share new policies and new information. Corporate is usually at our campus monthly to discuss updated information as well.

I attend my admissions meetings that our Director of Admissions keeps us up to date on things changing at the campus as well as things things we can say to students.
We have weekly meetings that the whole department attends. If there is any information that we need to know it is discussed in the meetings or communicated through email.

Meetings I attend: Workforce Alliance Partner Orientation, Veterans and Vocational Rehabilitation meetings, Job Expos sponsored by local county and education groups.
I will look for online workshops related to my work area and attend any other meeting offered by the institution i work for.
I attend conferences, seminars, online training and anything else that comes along pertaining to our student's educational processes, segments of our student body or even individual. There is a lot of information out there and staying on top of it all can be demanding. Being organized and fluent in the regulations is important.
