I have placed all of the suggested documents in my Resource Notebook. These documents include an Enrollment Agreement, a general organizational chart, and accreditation information. I have also included the Admissions Code of Conduct and handbook for my institution along with our marketing policy reference packet.
I discovered that there are very specific admissions contact management steps that my institution recommends. It is valuable information and the resource notebook is quite helpful.
I am new to this process, so having a notebook that will be well organized and full of useful information that I can go back to is already helpful. It makes me feel more prepared and confident to do my job.
I have lots of information in my notebook, printed documents, rules, and my own notes. I'm a very hands on, so I need job aids front and center to assist me in remembering Compliance. I found out that we have to do this test yearly, but knew about not bad mouthing other schools. This is some good information.
First of all, I made a section comprised of all laws, rules, and statutes. I made another section with information regarding Fortis Online. Information within this section includes the school catalog, enrollment agreement, marketing materials, policies & procedures and the school's organization chart. I had no idea there was so much regulation in regards to education and all of the regulations i need to abide by.
My Resource Notebook currently has the catalog, Ethics and Compliance information, Code of Conduct, Representative Performance plan as well as the Recruitment Personnel Principles. I found it extremely helpful to read through the Ethics and Compliance information because it gave me a better idea of the professional guidelines to follow. I will definitely be adding to this as I continue the training process.
This is a yearly refresher course for me. I have alot of materials in my note book, all Ohio rules and regulations.
The information that I put in my resource book are rules and regulations that you must abide by pertaining to the state of Ohio.
I have discovered that one must be recertified every other year and all colleges have to be licensed but not all colleges are accredited. As well as that we are not counselors we are representatives for the state of Ohio.
As a individual new to the agent/representative field the resource notebook is a great way for me to review and truly get a hang of everything. i understand that things can and will change, but I have the basics down!
So far, I have placed the form in which I had to first fill out regarding being an agent for the state of Ohio. I have also been copying and pasting the pertinent information into a Word document, and printing it out for my notebook. I was definitely unaware that our agent permits had to be renewed annually. I am grateful for this because it will help me keep current with all necessary rules and regulations regarding the state of Ohio.
we here have all of our program information placed into personal binders. it is organized in the order of importance of how we go over information. i learnded that we are required to renew our licensing every year.
I have placed the Regulatory laws/rules as well as terms in my notebook so far. A lot of this knowledge so far was common sense or things I have been reading about already. It is nice to be refreshed on this and have a better comprehension on it.
So far I have put all the sections form MOD 1 and and gathering admissions information to put in the binder. Thank you for asking.
These are good suggestions for what else to put in the Resource Notebook. This will be an onogoing process that I will continue to update and add information to.
I agree, I am just building my resource notebook and feel its a great tool to have, and a great way to stay updated on all the changing rules and regulations.
The resource notebook is a great tool to aid the agents in advising students. I will help my team create a notebook .

The agens/admissions reps regulatory laws/rules.
I didn't know before now that we couldn't promise job placement after completion of program.
I found the information covered in this section to be helpful.
School Catlog--enrollment agreement--Marketing plans-- Policies and procedures-- Organizational Chart-- Institution Accreditation and Approvals. I didnt realize my institution had so much to offer prospective students. I also didn't know that there are so many ways to misrepresent the company and offer false information just to get prospective students to sign up. Just by taking courses and listening it has helped me realize that first, I need to be completely aware of what I am "selling" a student. I also need to have complete and total product knowledge and be able to assist and answer questions accurately when called on by students, teachers, and of course parents.
What I have placed in my resource notebook is basically everything on my schools website including: History of the institution, Mission statement, Accreditation & Authorization information, Admissions & Degree Programs, Transfer information,Academic Catalog, & Policy Handbook. This is an on-going process as I will have to purchase more toner and another ream of paper. I learned the definitions of "agent" vs "counselor" and I now know what Code title 33 & Chapter 3332 are about. My brain hurts now. Thank you.
