I have placed the school catalogue in my resource notebook. Our school catalogue has been updated so I have a better insight of the newer programs. I believe this would be helpful for me because if I have a better understanding of each program, then I will be able to convey that effectively to each prospective student.
I have just started my notebook, but so far have printed the Ohio Rules and Regulations, and have put in much information from our school, including program sheets, frequently asked questions, and also details about our admissions requirements and placement assistance.
I was pleased to know that I knew most all the information I am supposed to! My employer does a great job of keeping the staff informed about any changes that happen within the institution.
The training materials and all the reglations that we printed during the training.
I included information from my orientation and will include a copy of the catelogue and any relevent forms I get as I continue my training.
I have added information concerning our externship programs because many students want to know whether this is available to them
I really like the idea of putting a bio together on the instructors at the school that I work for, it is definitly a frequently asked question by not only new admission reps but prospective students as well.
I added career information from the Labor of Statistics. I think this updated information will help with potential students.
I have added to my resource notebook the Admissions Regularoty documents. These are a good resource for the terminology that is used in explaining the role of the Agent.
this is the first time i had really read the difference between am admissions agent and an admissions counselor.
Enclosed in my RN, I put in all of the statutes and explanation of the statutes for my quick reference.
The other information that I enclosed was a reiteration of the correct responses to the quiz questions that I got incorrect for further emphasis on them.
I can't say yet that any of the information that I came across was anything I didn't expect, but the one thing that stands out to me is the level of transparency and attention to procedure that is required of anyone in this position.
As an Admissions Rep my first task was to prepare my resource notebook. I had key pieces of information in this notebook (Enrollment Agreement, Catalog, etc), but after reviewing this course I realize my notebook can be so much better if I include the following: a copy of our Organizational Chart, information on Career Services, our Student Handbook, and most importantly the Admissions Reps Regularoty Laws/Rules. Additionally I have learned to be much more active in keeping my notebook updated.
An updated notedbook will only make me that much stronger/more knowledgeable as an Ohio Admissions Rep.
Just starting as an admissions rep and having no experience in the field, but being in education for 35 years I understand the value of organization and continuing to learn and stay current on issues pertaining to my job I am constantly updating my resource notebook with all new information I obtain.
I have placed all information concerning the Cm202 course in my notebook and as a teacher I already know the importance of organization and being able to access reference material!!!!!
Beckie
Information about the different programs we have and the corresponding disclosures that we have access to from our college.
The term "counselor" and the misconceptions in relation to an admissions representative.
i keep a full catalog from our school in my notebook besides other documentation i use in my interveiws to make sure i am up to date on anything new.
I have completely re-built my resourse notebook with current information. In it I placed the ethical code of conduct for agents and have printed the pages of this course. There have been no new discoveries, but a good review is
important. I have an enrollment checklist and folder of all items required for a students to enroll.
I like that you added a section for updated memos and catalog addendums. This is a good way to keep up on updates and any changes that the may make. Great idea!
I like that you included the history of your school. This is a very important aspect of understanding who you represent. This piece of information will be especially helpful to new reps. Great idea!
This is a great way to capture the necessary information regarding laws/regulations in Ohio. I have added the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules section of this training along with a school catalog, enrollment agreement, sample of current marketing materials, student guidelines booklet, and an organizational chart. This information will be a great source of reference along with the schools admissions training binder.
My resource notebook includes two Bradford School catalogs (catalog for potential students and a catalog for employees and/or current students) and the most recent enrollment agreement. Information regarding Bradford School's policies, procedures, and accreditations are included in the catalogs.
At this point, I have not discovered new information about the institution. However, the resource notebook will be a great source for rare questions asked by new students and also will be useful when presenting new information.
