The resource notebook is a great tool for both initially learning as well as a resource for later. There is so much information to digest, having everything at your fingertips is a great place to start.

I have discovered that it is a violation to discredit another school or their programs.

I have added information about the financial aid process to my Resource Notebook.

I have added the school catalog, brochures, and copies of magazine adds that have different 800 numbers connected to understand where students are seeing our advertising. I also added the regulatory compliance material for being an agent. I was unaware of the yearly renewal of the permits which is a regulation my institution must abide by.

I think the resource notebook is a great idea. I have included all of the material listed above. It comes in hand as a quick reference!!

Same here and it works great!

I feel that having a notebook has helped me grow professionally.

By having my catalog handy, I have all the amswers at my finger tips

In the Resource Notebook in the institution that I am employed, we have many documents including updated graduation and placement information, the university catalog; also we have tuition rate sheets that clearly outline the tuition cost for each program. We want to make sure that the student gets the most accurate information available. Moreover, we try to keep each handout or paper that is given to each student consistent so that there is no question about what the standards and practices of the institution are. I was not aware that all agents had to go through the same training in order to receive a permit; even those who come from schools that are out of the state. It is good idea so that there is consistency among all agents who work in the state.

I ALWAYS keep a copy of our school catalog on my desk. The school catalog offers a wealth of information when assisting students. Also, I think that having the website, phone number and address for your accrediting body is a GREAT thing to add to your resource notebook. I have been printing all of the information from this course to have on hand, as well.

I have compiled a notebook that includes all program information, application, enrollment agreement, and new policies and procedures which pertain to the Institution that I work for as well as regarding state and federal guidelines (compliance). It is important to know why we are required to get agent permits and I have found this training and my notebook to be very helpful.

We have placed with the resource notebook all the forms that we use in the admissions process. This will allow the advisors to understand the purpose of the forms the students are signing through the admissions process.

I was not aware of the student tuition recovery fund information and the processes its admininstration.

Definition of terms, student policies, accrediting, agency, fees, Student services ect. I think I knew most of the rules and regulations but having the organized resources gives me a guideline and base knowledge of our polices. Something that is not just in theory but something I can depend on as a tagible resource.

I agree. It's important for me to keep lists like this because I know that I'm not missing any steps. I also don't take for granted the process of Admissions. It helps me in explaining our rules and regulations as well as being clear and transparent will the prospective student.

I thought creating a notebook of resources was a great idea to keep items easily accessible that I would use in my job.
I have added to my resource notebook the Admissions Reps Regularoty Laws/Rules - These are a good resource for the terminology that is used in explaining the role of the Agent.
In addition; I added a copy of our catalog, enrollment agreement, org chart and student guidelines. These are important so that I represent the school accurately to prospective students. I added a section to the notebook for updated memos and catalog addendums.
Again, I appreciate the recommendation for creating this notebook as a resource.

I printed out a check list for admissions so as not to miss anything. I try to go down the list in order, once in a while it doesn't work out, however nothing gets missed.

I really enjoyed this. I have discovered that Career colleges are highly shopped and we must abide by all of the rules and regulations to a "T".

Thanks,

jt

I have included the university catalog, graduation requirements, enrollment agreements, tuition cost, and accreditation information.

Included in my resource notebook is the University Catalog, Graduation Requirements, Enrollment agreement, tuition costs, Training Manuals for different departments, Accreditation Information.

I was also unaware that agents that work outside of the state of Ohio must still adhere to the regulations mandated by the state as long as the institution is located in the state of Ohio.

Actually, at this point, unless rules and regulations change I feel comfortable with the information I have in my notebook and the rules and regulations. I have been with our college going on 3 years and although there is always more to learn I practice and use our information on a continuous basis.
