Read advertising material and review cataloges, check website, and interact with other employees to keep current about our programs and services

The management team at ITT Tech provides detailed information about any compliance changes and new information regarding accreditation and all certification matters.

I am constantly reviewing the OACCS website as well as the websites of the national and programmatic accrediting bodies of our institution. I also attend any meetings or trainings that are available as well as talking to coworkers and individuals from other schools that are knowledgeable in the area of admissions. I love to assimilate new information.

Make sure i am reading all information handed out to me and talking with my DOA and program directors as well as other faculty to make sure we have all the right information. Communication is key

I agree Jamie. I feel our school is up to date. We have weekly meetings going over changes. I will also look at the web site because I realize that this is ultimately my responsibility to stay compliant.

Our school's home office website alerts us to any changed made comapny-wide. During our daily meetings with the DOA, we are also alerted to new information. Other than that, I communicate with other departments to make sure I say current on what's new in admissions and my school.

The key to maintaining any missing information and up-to-date changes is communication. This cannot be stressed enough. Like any business, education is constanly changing which is why I always keep in touch with the Director of Education as well as the various Program Directors. They keep me informed of changing admissions requirements, trends in the job market and curriculum changes too. This is extremely helpful so that the Admissions department can relay the information to all prospective students. I am also happy to say that I work in an environment where all of these important individuals are extremely accessible should I have a question.

We have a pamphlet and brochure area within our school. We also have regular meetings and school promotion is addressed. We have very good open communication lines within our school.

I plan to check back monthly to update my booklet with changes.

My school has weekly and monthly meetings to stay up-to-date with changes. Because we are in a feild that is consistantly changing, laws are being added, rules are changing, etc. we find it crucial to have meetings on these policies and procedures, compliance, rules and regulations, and more.

We have great communication lines with our program directors and faculty members. They provide valuable information on the strengths of our program to share with prospective students.

The Education Department is also a solid resource for us on accredidation and compliance matters.

My plan is to stay in contact with all department directors on changes and to keep a binder for all updates.

Any new changes that are made I make sure I print and put these in my binder. I make sure I understand what the changes or new rules are. We also discuss any new changes in our weekly admissions meetings.

As soon as we know of any changes that would be re-occuring I would get the document and add it to my binder.

Basically I plan to, on a monthly basis touch base with the critical personnel at my school to become updated upon any changes that may have occured. Also, to make sure I talk with and meet as many instructors as possible.

When I become award of any new developments in our field, my first step is to create a Q & A. What questions do I have about the changes? What questions can I anticipate the student will want to know? How do I develop a Q&A that will work for both the agent and the student? If a student comes up with a great question I haven't thought of- I make sure that question becomes part of the Q&A process. I make sure everyone is on the same page including the agent, the instructors, the marketing department and the career counselors.

In this information-frenzied world - information changes fast. The agent can be the first one to hear changing news as they are on the front line. Caveat; one important step to add to the equation- make sure any new information is correct and relevant to our students.

A detailed Q&A is my most useful tool to learn and teach- do others use a Q&A approach?

I will continue to look for both internal and external training opportunities to take advantage of. In addition I will visit OACCS to look for updates and watch for news stories relating to the education industry.

Angela I agree. I feel that not only keeping up with the State information is important; keeping an eye on the internal changes and policies is just as important. I know that with the changes in the industry today, my company is being as proactive as possible to stay within compliance and help as many students as possible to see their graduation.

Be actively engaged with the DOA for this relevant information, and also continuing to keep up on current events and information within our industry.
