I feel it's important to know what we are sending out to the community. By reviewing our ads, mailers, etc, we know what prospective students are seeing and their possible first impression of the college.

I think it is highly important to review material because a lot of leads that are coming in are due to the advertisements. Knowing the advertisements allows Agents to relate and understand what the future student seen to want to call in or get information. Also, it is always good to know what your advertising and marketing material look like just in case a student refers to the material.

It's vital so that I'm not caught off guard when a potential student contacts me about a certain service and states something I'm not fully aware of - whether that's a new slogan, a program being highlighted, or whatever. It's also important so that I can tie in my information with what is being marketed so as to promote consistency.

It's important to review your school's advertising and marketing material to make sure that it's not misleading prospective students and to know how your school is advertising to the public. You want to make sure that your schools ads look professional and are in line in what your school is trying to portray.

I think it is important because if a student references a particular miece of media that inspired them to look into the school, you can discuss the ad and find out what about the ad drew them in, which opens the door for some highly useful conversation for an agent.

The ads are like the first few sentences of a conversation the school is having with the students. When they speak with the agent, knowing how the ad made the student feel lets the rep know how the rest of the conversation can begin and flow.

In addition, if a student references an ad, it lends credibility when you know what your school's ads are.

The more familure I am with the products and survices offered by my school the more I am able to impact prospective students and their goals. Having a working knowledge of where the marketing is being focused I am able to prepare my school information.

It is important tool for the admissions department to be knowledgeable on what is being advertised about your school. Being well informed when receiving calls or emails from leads is key to be able to answer any questions that may arise.

It as equally important that each student, agent and faculty know what is being promoted with the school. The mantra "One voice, One choice" comes to mind. Everyone should be on one page. Marketing materials are also the most up to date as they are commonly the most released.

Our home office updates us weekly on advertising. Assisting the prospective student is vital to all that we do as agents. The institute I work for has all of our current messages on the website to review. Testimonials, publibity and advertisements where we can easily see them and maintain those messges at the campus level.

When using any outside agency, such as newspaper, radio, television, etc. even the best editors or proofreaders can miss errors. Facts, numbers, information should always be checked and rechecked, by different people. Copy and proof should always be kept current and reflect any changes in the institutions policies, requirements, programs, or purposes.

Well all admissions reps should have knowledge of all current promotional campaigns, so that when a student comes in with a question or a statement based on one of our forms of advertising we need to be able to answer it. Preferably, on the spot. Which would require prior knowledge and understanding. My school maintains a massive media presence and it is a lot of work to keep up to date with all of it, but that is my job.

It's important to know what information we are giving in the forefront and how much more detail the student may need. It is also helpful so that each person in the admissions department is using similar language and similar to the marketing that is being put out there, there is less confusion to the student that way.

I agree completely. It is very important to know what tools are available to you & keep up to date with them.

It helps you know what the prospective student knows. It gives you chance to keep current on new and exciting things your school is currently offering and will offer in the future. And it can also lead to an icebreaker during your interview with the prospective students to see how they have heard about your school.

It is very important to be familiar with the schools's marketing material as it shapes the potential studen't unavoidable preconseption of the college. Information gathered through advertisements (no matter how truthful) can easily be misconstrued as each person's perception is different, people often hear what they want to hear. For this reason it is important to asses the students initial expectations based on what they have seen so that as their representative we can deliver reality.

It is important so you are familiar with product knowledge. Also, when speaking with potential students you are up to date on current promotions and this may be the reason why the student is calling.

I believe it is important to review the school's advertising and marketing material to ensure they are in compliance with the Board. Also, it is important because a prospective student may have seen a certain advertisement and its important to know what perspectives they have of the school before they apply.

I feel that it is extremely important to know my school's advertising and marketing material because I need to know all the available information that is being displayed. You want to do what is best for the student and what is going to give them the drive and desire to go to school, so knowing the materials and asking questions will only help me out in the long run.

It's important to know what and how are company is being represented. I know that our company, because it's so large, does have a compliance department as well as a marketing department. It is however, still very important to know how or when the company changes an ad or piece of marketing material.

It's important to know what the potential student is seeing before he/she comes in to see me. It's also important that I can accurately represent the school and connect what is being advertised with what the student will actually see when they walk through the door.
