That is a great idea about the current ads on the web. We do post some things, but we don't keep up with all the advertising on the website. Too much time is spent tracking down the papers that carry the ads so we can keep up. Thanks!

I agree Joshua. I think, as you mentioned, by gaining a better understanding of where your students are hearing about your school is a very important aspect. It allows us to understand what demographics are being reached. I believe it is also our job to track these leads and understand where these students heard about our school.

The way that information is articulated in Advertising and Marketing materials is relative to the way information should be communicated to prospective students from agents. Since these materials are regulated, they include important and accurate information that can be utilized by the Agent. It also keeps information consistent from the prospective's first interaction(advertisement) to when he comes into his interview.
So I know whats out there for perspective students to look at. They will be refering to these different materials when I speak to them, so it is important that I have knowledge of them.
Just like technology, today's hot item may be tomorrow'santiquated item. Always being aware of what appeals to the masses and how to best represent the school is a key feature of being successful.
I think it's important so you as a representative are aware of what's out there promoting your school and to be able to discuss with the prospective student what caught their attention and why they think my school is the right choice/fit for them. KNowing what advertising and marketing material out there gives you more knowledge and credibility.
