It is smart to have knowledge of your school's advertising and marketing materials and policies. One avenue I want to inquire about is posting individual advertisement online.
It is very important to be up-to-date on ads, TV commercials, etc. Many prospective students refer to this information during the admissions interview. It makes it easy to relate to when you've seen the commercial, for example and also makes the rep appear more professional and knowledgeable.
The schools advertising and marketing material gives me a good starting point to review information with students while at the same time providing me a knowledge of what I still need to cover with the student to attain a full disclosure of information, and also to make sure I am up to date on the material and our programs so I can provide students with the most up-to-date and correct information.
It is important to review your school's advertising and marketing material so I can be well informed of the program/programs and information that the school has to offer. More importantly, I need to be equipped with the accurate information so that I don't mislead any prospective students.
I think it is important to review my school's advertising and marketing material on a regular basis because our prospective students are the ones responding to the various advertising campaigns and usually have a question regarding them. Additionally, there are times when something new to the program comes out and we can learn something about what our students are seeing.
It is important to relate to the student in the manner in which they were introduced to the school. If they have just seen a tv ad, they may not get as good of picture of the structure of the school as say a printed out brochure that explains details. Knowing where the student is coming from allows the detail needed to meet the students needs or wants.
A Representative must know what is being said publicly to potential students to be sure public information and personal information is consistant and to be sure when asked questions by prospective students your answers are credible.
To make sure everything is true and that there are no promises.everything is following through the Compliances.
It's very important to be aware of the different ways prospective students hear about our school. It's also important to stay current with advertising and marketing terminology. The more we know about how the brand supports our efforts the better we can serve the student.
Reading the marketing materieal allows you to give students an understanding of what is inside the brochuers they are going to pick up. It will allow the high school student to quickly decide if they feel that piece of information is necessary for them to help make an informed choice to inquire further about your school.
It is important to review your school's advertising material so that you are well informed of how your school is reaching their students and what message is being sent to them. A lot of times I will get calls saying I saw your ad on TV or I received a flyer in the mail about your programs. Sometimes they will even ask questions or ask you to clarify something in the ad or marketing material and if you don't know what they are referring to, it won't make the potential student feel very confident in your school and your ability to help them succeed.
It is important to review your schools advertising material so you are prepared to answer any questions regarding this material. Also, by knowing your means of advertising it can help you and your institution accomplish company goals more effectively. Another reason to know this material is so you can effectively market to your target audience and provide them with the resources they need to make an educated decision about school.
It is important to review our literature because, as someone who represents our school we need to clearly understand our institutions procedures, scholarships, and advertising materials.
It think is is very important to understand your schools marketing materials because we are often the first point of contact aside from the materials being sent through mail, TV, radio, and billboards. At my school our Marketing Department send things out and does not tell the Admissions Representatives what has been sent so when we get calls we often sound clueless. With the Admissions Department sounding confused this is a hit on the schools reputation. I am a firm believer that your employees are walking billboards for your organization!
I agree...it is a great way to show perspective students the overall feel of the school and a general idea of what is offered.
When a prospective student mentions an ad of ours that they saw and that encouraged them to call, I like to be familiar with the ad so that I know what stood out to them and what their interests are.
What has worked in the past does not mean it will work now. There are many new ways to market to prospective students.
To be aware of the information your school puts out to the public and to use this to better inform your potential students. Also, it provides opportunity to allow the representative to provide marketing suggestions.
It is important to know and review your school's advertising and marketing material. I have had students comment on certain commericals or brochures they have seen and ask if I had seen them. If I hadn't - I might have lost some credibility with that student. Knowing your product through all avenues is key to being successful.
The advertising and marketing materials are great sources of information for students. I need to understand these materials to better assist the students in making the right decision for them. Easy to use and easy to understand materials are important for potential enrollees and and as experts, we need to be prepared to speak to and explain the materials.
