It is important to know the school's marketing plan because when students call in to the school, one needs to be familiar with the material and content the student is referring to. It is also important to know the regulations behind how the school is allowed to market in case it becomes one of your responsibilities or if you are promoted to take on that responsibility for the department.

I think that this explains a lot about the student's needs and interests as well. I see so much college advertising and marketing nowadays. The school advertising should stand out but also be a true reflection of the institution.

I believe it is important to review what material and medium the students are influenced by. Being knowlegable of our marketing material and aware of when it is updated is important to an agent's success. If the student is unaware of our material we can have it readily available to them.

It is extremely important as an agent to know what tools are being used to bring prospects to the school. It is also important to know the source to be able to identify if the tool is having a postitive or negative affect in drawing in the right students to the school. There was a situation in which a marketing company was soliciting students for the criminal justice program, but it was being sent to people who had just finished a stint in a correction facility. Somehow this marketing program was sent to the incorrect audience of there was an influx of students inquiring about the program, but not eligible because of criminal record. This is a classic example why one should know how and where the marketing department is advertising.

It is important to understand the marketing/advertsing materials, because you can understand how well informed the student is about the institution. This information will help in serving the student needs.

You need to know how the student heard of the school to better help them. Each advertisement has a different component - understanding what the student heard or saw helps make the connection to them.

In admissions you need to stay current with the marketing to understand the needs of the students contacting the school. Asking how they heard of the college is a great way to begin.

It's important that we review our school's advertising and marketing material to be sure that the guidelines are being followed from the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools. Also, to make sure that we are familar with the content so that when prospective students come in we can answer any questions or concerns. We can add comments as well to engage in conversation with the prospective student.

I think the marketing and advertising materials are very important because sometimes that's the first glimpse of our school that the prospective student will see...whether it's a TV commercial or a presentation at the High School level. We are fortunate to have a great Marketing Department that puts out high quality information.

I always feel that more knowledge you have the more successful that you can be. If an agent is familar with school's advertising and marketing materials they are better prepared to know how the student was informed about the school. This knowledge can assit in serving student in the best way.

Because most of our students are conacting us after seeing one of the advertising pieces. Most of them have questions and it helps the integrity of our learning facility that it's reps are able to facilitate the potential student.

It is important to have a good understanding of the types of marketing your school uses because when you are talking with prospective students, they may mention specific ads that attracted them to the school or have questions about the programs/services we market. It would be bad representation to not be aware of what they are talking about when you represent the school that made the ad in the first place.

It can only give us a better idea of what type of background our students have. It can also allow us to have a better understanding of why our students might be looking to further their education.

Understanding our marketing plan helps me to understan where our students are coming from, what their focus may be, and how I can best serve my students as they pursue their educational goals.

I think it is important to review the school's advertising and marketing material so when a student asks a particular question on something he or she view on tv, newspaper etc; I will know what to say.

It is citical to review our advertising and marketing materials. If a student responsed to one of our ads it is important to know what he or she has seen or heard.

It's important to review these materials because it will let you know what the school thinks is important to our potential students as well as give you a guideline to what you may or may not be able to mention to students. Odds are if it's on a billboard, you're allowed to mention it to a perspective student.

I have all of our marketing material that we use in schools and in homes with students. We do not run any TV/radio advertising for any of our programs. We do run some print ads from time to time in some markets.

I believe that it is important to review my schools advertising and marketing material because it helps me know what is actually being promoted out there to get the prospective students back into the school. I like to know if it is effective or not. I am a student myself and I look at things that are of interest of myself and my needs. If it is something that would catch my eye then it should with others too.

Knowledge of the advertising can funtion as a conversational ice breaker with students. It can help establish a base line of what has attracted the student to your institution and guide you in asking probing follow-up questions.
