yes we do a lot more questioning and interviewing to make sure the is heaed in the right direction.

In addition to our Online Prepatory Course that is required for each student to complete, there is also the wonderlick test that is required for Military Students as well

I believe a good conversation with the student is important. The agent will be able to get a good feel for the student's concerns and success in completing the program. I mention resources like virtual library, student support, career services and tutoring programs that make the student more comfortable about discussing their concerns.

My institution being an online college its important the all students have a computer with internet access in order to be successful.

Our school has developed a early warning system to target and provide assistance to students who are having trouble. This can include time management coaching, tutoring and just good old fashioned positive reinforcement for successful completion of tasks within the learning plan.

ITT complies with the rules & regulations that are required within each state involved.

Our institution has implemented a no cost Prep course that must be completed before the student can even access their class. To ensure they the have the skills able to complete course material.

Our school administers an admissions exam that each student must pass to be accepted to the institution.

I agree 100% with you . All students are qualified to succeed however sometimes life skills are not implemented. Nonetheless, with positive reinforcement i believe students can be helped in a productive manner.

We use the SLE, HESI, and Compass as well as an interview with the Director of Admissions after the initial interview with the representative. We also will have the potential student meet with the program director as well for certain programs. Overall our goal is to assess, motivate, plan, and hold accountable all potential students to move forward with their lives with an education that meets their needs and helps them achieve the life they were meant to live.

My Institution requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 (some areas of study a 3.0) for enrollment. This will help the students succeed in the classroom and in the working world. If a student struggles with basic knowledge (math,reading/writing, etc.) they will not be able to achieve success in the world.

We continue to institute more and more points to ensure that those gtrting into school have a real shot of making it to graduation and the job. Qualifying questions, wonderlic testing and high school varification are some of the tools used.

Who are we to determine whether someone can succeed in life??? This is unamerican. We disclose proper information to students (I.E. whether positions require a criminal check etc.). I would feel I am doing someone a wrong by making a judgement call to not enroll them because I felt he was not qualified to succeed.

Our school has now designated federal background checks be part of the admissions process to help make sure the student is employable before incurring loan debt. This allows admissions to be more up front in their reccomendations for the program and also steer the applicant in the right direction toward enrolling in a program they will be successful with. Sometimes one field may be more employable than another based on a applicants background.

I definitely agree with the above atatement. A good program is very important for the student to be successful. We do not want them to go into financial debt without being able to pay back the loans.

My institution is constantly looking over our scripts for our questionnaire and our online demonstration to ensure that we are finding qualified students, as well as following compliance. One of my favorite questions to ask a student is "What is your dream job? What do you see yourself doing each day that will make you happy?" Most of the time, this lines up with their degree, but if it happens to be completely off-base, then this is where I take the opportunity to speak with the student about the typical outcomes of this degree and we explore what degree program might be right for them.

entrance test, orientation including completing sample assignments, and explaining to the students our more successful students commit 30 hours a week to see the best results.

This is a part of every interview we give. Since I have worked for this company there have not been any adjustments made that focus on the rates, however they are a very clear part of every presentation and are signed off by each student. It seems that very few of my potential students do ask about them. Does anyone else feel like its not really as big of a concern from the consumer as it is from a regulatory standpoint?

We encourage our students to read our consumer information and catalog.

Our institution uses an admissions test to the potential students. We use Wonderlic tests. If the student does not pass the first time, they will have another opportunity to test. Many times it is simply test anxiety.
