Along with the information provided from the module, I also keep up-to-date advisory board information readily available. This helps to provide accurate information for students on community relations.

I truly believe this is a brilliant idea and a great way to keep ourselves organized with all the material we need to keep current and handy, also I want to ask if is possible to share any updates with or team members in order to try to keep everybody on the same page, at least in the Admmissions Department, is this ok?

Accrediting Agency-Accrediting agencies provide volunteer membership for institutions and act as "gatekeepers" for federal funding program participation.

Enrollment Agreement- A legally binding contract that is signed by applicants to licensed institutions as well as by authorized personnel at the institution.

Magda,
The notebook is such a wonderful resource. Continue to add additional documents to make it the most valuable book on your shelf.

SHERRI,

Excellent! You are well on your way to knowing the statutes and rules.

Patty Aronoff

Veronica,

We need to explain every part of the student experience. All information needs to be shared. Doubts often arise from lack of information or understanding.

Patty Aronoff

SHERRI,

The enrollment agreement and the catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school.

The resource notebook is a very important tool for an admissions department. The rules and regulations should always be available for review in case any questions or concerns should come up for the student as well as the school.I prepared a reference manual to help answer questions. It helps us stay knowledgeable of rules, directives and documents which we check regularly in case of changes.

We talk about the catalog and the requirements of admission. We explain the fees and tuition.
We also clarify to them all the doubts.

I have set up the Florida Statute Rules 6E-1.0032, FAC on fair consumer best practices for staying in compliance.

I discovered all the different negative consequences regarding grounds for denial, probation, revocation, misrepresentation od an institution, its programs,or other important facts not disclosed properly- found in subsection 6E-2.0(10),F.A.C

Veronica,
Either way that works best for you! This is your notebook, your creation. Make it shine!

Patty Aronoff

Barbara,

Continue to add additional material to your notebook to create a one-stop place for information.

Patty Aronoff

Norma Suzanne,
Often the term accreditation is confused with the term licensure. It is important that any accrediting body is recognized by the USDOE as there are many bogus accrediting bodies that look "real."

Patty Aronoff

Norma Suzanne,

Each type of funding needs to be fully explained and to include the discussion of repayment. Default management is an important operational function of a school.

Patty Aronoff

Norma Suzanne,

The catalog, along with the enrollment agreement constitute the contract between the student and the school.

Patty Aronoff

thank you

Also, because they don't know, students seem to ask: Is your accredited? instead of which accreditation does your school have? Since there are many accrediting bodies available. It makes a difference depending in the school they are enrolling in.

I believe Title IV funding really needs to be explained to students because the majority of them do not understand fully what this means. Title IV funding includes: grants, loans and scholarships. Each needs to be explained to them in detail.
