I have learned about the rules and regulations that regulate my activities and my institution through my supervisors, fellow administrators and by reading printed materials I have reproduced from the appropriate and applicable websites.

Excellent suggestion I will add this to my list of resources, I'll be looking forward to the next issue. Thank you

Jason,
I would suggest you start with the CIE newsletter. It provides a great resource to keep up to date.

We had initially done a lot of research on Florida statutes rules and regulations while we were in the process of making the transition from a test prep to a licensed school by accessing the statutes and FAC rules directly, as well as consulting many secondary resources. We also learned quite a bit from CIE's staff while putting together the various components of licensure, and are currently learning some things through the admissions compliance training. I now know that we should look for changes and updates on a monthly basis.

This is all very helpful informatin, particularly for first time counselors, such as myself. It's wonderful to know that resources are available that will outline specific policies and guidlines for each institution.

I have added the links from the first six items in the “Reference Notebook Checklist” and to my monthly Microsoft Outlook notice to update myself on any changes.

Rosa,
We wish you much success.

Janine,
It may seem overwhelming at first, but it will all tie in and make sense later. You will be glad you put in the effort to learn.

The regulations are a bit daunting but the links available through this course has given me quick access to the appropriate sections that I need to accomplish my job. The website fldoe.org provides updates that is reviewed by us on a monthly basis.

Rosa,
Thank you for the feedback. We wish you much success.

Bryan,
Good advice!

Tiffany,
You are off to a great start!

I have set up the school from scratch, so I have read them all the regulations, I also follow the e-mails and the letters from the CIE and ABHES, that tells me the changes to come.
Thanks for your training, it help my team with a quick inside, they have to read the regulations, but it was start.

I have printed off the rules and have begun reading them. I am highliting anything I have a question about, and making sure we are in compliance with everything I read.

There are numerous ways to learning the statutes, rules and regulations besides reading. I found that talking to other FA offices and even calling lenders will help. There is so much information that researching and gathering info from other resources will help you retain and be more knowledgable overall.

Madelyne,
Excellent! Keep on learning by discussing what you have learned with others.

I am learning the rules and regulations by taking courses like these from FAPSC and attending workshops, trainings, discussions, my superiors are also full of knowledge. I also take the initiative to educate myself on as much as possible.

Amanda,
Great news! Keep on learning!

Dilailan,
Start with the CIE newsletter, it will point you in the right direction.

James,
Keep on learning!
