regularly scheduled staff meetings about policies and marketing strategies
Sheila,
Questions are the best way to promote learning and discovery.
I attend various meetings to learn about my job, admissions policies, and regulatory requirements. I attend Florida Association of Postseconday Schools and Colleges meetings, internal meetings as well as webinars to keep abreast of updates and changes in this fields.
We hold meetings twice a week to discuss any changes to policies, regulations, marketing and/or programs. I find this is the most effective way to keep our staff inform.
We have online training such as this one. We also have group sessions to go over admissions policies, regulatory requirements
The enrollment cycle at our school is five weeks. Our department has a meeting before each start to go over key strategies, announcements and our regular processes to ensure that every student is billed in a timely and accurate manner. On top of that the head of our department has to attend a weekly operations meetings. After the meeting is adjourned, she will inform us about any issues/concern and suggestions that arose in the meeting.
We work hard to keep everyone informed and on the same page; so we have several meetings that focus on marketing, compliance changes and new processes to streamline departments and become more efficient. Not only do these meetings help to keep us focused; it also allows us an opportunity to share what we are learning through correspondence with students as to changes that are being discussed in their state.
Researching online and staying up to date with current headlines in educational news nationally can also make a tremendous difference in what we learn and what changes or accommodations may be needed to continue to be successful and make an impact in educators lives.
We have the following meetings:
Daily:
We have a huddle that allows our entire team to connect for approx 10 minutes and deal with real time issues and information updates ocurring overnight
Weekly:
We meet for approx 1 hour, in functional teams, to strategize about the upcoming weeks activities, coordinate with other teams, if we need cross team support for events, and to coordinate activites.
Monthly:
We meet as a department to go over activities and update each functional area on what the others have been doing, as well as to share new information and developments that effect the students.
In addition to our initial training as new hires we have team meetings every Monday and Friday and training meetings every Wednesday. There are additional training seminars peppered in throughout the course of a month, available to all representatives.
We have mandatory meetings at least once a week and sometimes twice weekly. They cover a range of issues from service to compliance.
we have team meetings and other training classes to attend.
The meetings that you attend are the weekly, mothly and quarterly meetings also you can always ask questions through out the duration of your employment.
