At my school there are two different roles, there is the Admissions Rep and I am known as an outside rep, who goes out and recruits. What I currently do is not "enrolling" the student but to create interest in our school and then set them up with an admissions rep, but I was a previous admissions rep and the way I made sure I did follow all the steps was to have pre-made folders of all the paperwork in what order I would need to explain and then have them sign. The FA would also have pre-made folders to make sure nothing has been skipped over. Also on the outside of the students folder is a check list that 4 people do have to sign off on before a student is accepted.
After practice all the paperwork and process would become routine. To newer reps, I suggest to sit in with a seasoned rep to see the flow and then to practice the enrollment procedure to make sure nothing has been left out.

By writing down and printing off the information in the order that I received it and placing it in seperate files.

Our Admissions Coordinator puts all necessary paperwork for each program together in packets in my file cabinet with a checklist.

I am going to take all the admissions paperwork from beggining to end and basically fill out a sample document with the pertenent information I need. I will also have achecklist to walk me through the process that coresponds with files so that I ensure that everything is done correctly,

I use an excel spreadsheet that has all state regulations. As Ohio has specific guidelines we take very careful control to ensure that we are following the proper guidelines as students get enrolled.

I also have specific folders on my computer for different regulations by state.

I have a whole file dedicated to all my students.

Each admissions agent can have a binder given to them that lists each states regulations in addition to all the school procedures. This way everyone adhear to the policies and regulations that are required for each state.

I use a checklist and always check and double check the process with each student. It is important not to overlook any paperwork.

It is very helpful to have the information in one place...thank you!

I have a checklist of all the paper work i need for enrollements in a binder. It helps a lot

I think that it's a great idea to keep an organized binder with all of your enrollment paperwork and the checklist definetly helps.

I definitely prefer to keep more paperwork on file, then less. Whether I think it is necessary to put some documents in a student's file - I still do so.

Some of the things that my student e-mail/file include are the interview/enrollment checklist. This includes individual information such as name, school attended (H.S. or previous College), program of interest, quarter start date, method of payment, and completion (or incompletion) of method of payment documents.

After the initial enrollment process, I also keep track of each students final documentation. This includes their MPN sign date, whether they have attended New Student Orientation, scheduled an Accuplacer test (if necessary) and have ordered their book. This is secondary information in order to help set the student up for success in their program.

Over all, after the initial documents are filed, between myself, the Business Officer and our Administrative Assistants, the student files are reviewed by our Director and approved (or not).

I have organized my paperwork in a file organizer on my desk in which I keep specific rules and regulations near by to go over before a student enrolls.

Keeping an organized and update binder is the best way to keep all the information you need at hand

We have a filing system here in place that organizes all of the paperwork plus examples of how everything should be filled out. I also met with the financial aid director who explained the basis of the information. We are also going to have a detailed training next week where we will put together a binder with all the information plus examples of forms so they are filled out correctly.

We have an enrollment checklist for each students file which must be completed and
submitted to the admissions secretary for review and acceptance before any student can be accepted
and enrolled. This includes completion of all required admissions documents and completion of
the financial aid or any payments required.

I have a step by step guide that I send to students about the enrollment process and I like to follow that when ever I can.

I used a large binder and organized section by section so it will be easy to access any information I may need

I will have a binder at arms length so I will have all resourses available to properly enroll that student.

I prefer to have all of my information near my computer so it is accessible at all times. I prefer to have things written and within arms reach so that I do not have to memorize everything. I would to memorize something and remember it wrong. I prefer to read it every time so I know it is correct every time also. I hate doing work twice and prefer to do right the first time. I also organize my binders in order of start to finish so I am not flipping pages on the phone. I feel that is unprofessional to hear pages turning in the background.
