This module really helps with the organization of all the enrollment requirements, which can be a lot of paperwork. These checklists will help with all the data we need to collect. Combining this with some experiences observing Financial appointments will help familiarize yourself with what students are going to be going through, and what potential questions they may have.

We also have pre-made enrollment packets, and i definitely makes life easier. I have a filing cabinet thats organized by enrollment date, and then by name. That way I can always find anything I need pretty quickly.

Our school has already developed a book organizing all of the information needed for the admissions process. This book is easy to use to guide the student through the process.

Each student should have their own file. Keeping a check list within this file that has all the necessary paperwork listed would ensure that everything is collected at the appropriate time. Having a file for each student would make it easy to quickly see if the student has completed and reviewed everything to enroll them.

Our corporate office has pre-made enrollment packets that include all necessary documents required by state and federal guidelines.

Great set up Thank You!

We have a department that we have to check in with on a regular bases that keeps us up to date. If we need information right away they are a few steps away to ask.

My department has the same thing that all of us reps share since it is a small team. Good idea and great tool to use.

I put everything into my binder, with tabs showing where each type of information is located.

I order all forms in the order I want the student to complete them. For instance I would not have the student sign the disclosure form before completing an application and enrollment agreement.

I think sitting in on the over- view or FA interview helps too, but is it compliant?

I have ordered everything alphabetically in my own binder. This makes sure i have everything i need for each student and also for our records here at the school.

Agreed, keeping a large binder with various sections is helpful. Policies and procedures, FA, tuition, military, international, etc...

I use a similar practice. The enrollment folder that I use at my University is a very helpful tool when conducting a student interview. It assists an Admissions Officer stay on point with everything that he or she needs to accomplish while the student is on campus going through the enrollment process from start to finish.

I have also created a binder similar to the ones that have been discussed, but I went a step further and put tabs on each section that also happen to be color coded. This way I can quickly flip to a section. Having it set up this way has allowed for less shuffling, that's for sure.

The role I and my colleages who interact with the prospective students within their schools, is a bit different and has very little to do with the paperwork required for completing the admissions process. I have however, organized the paperwork in a binder and added our schools catalog along with comments from those who handle this procedure at our school. Very interesting! I really like the response of the person, who's school utilized coding "red" for state mandates and "blue" for internal mandates. Excellent!

I have a binder which outlines state regulations by sections. For example I include our Financial aid process with the financial aid regulations of my state. A also have a table of contents that serves as a checklist. We have different procedures for various types of students ie international so I have a separate binder for each variation of the admissions process.

We keep a large binder with all the paperwork in it and a checklist for the reps to follow along with.

I agree, Kristine. It is very important to be up to date regarding FA in order to best assist potentital students. I work closely with the FA and Academics Departments on a regular basis.

Great Point.

It is vital for departments to gain an understanding of what goes on accross the board. This allows for employees to gain appreciation for all the hard work that goes on.
