Compliance and Integrity

What specific strategies has your institution implemented to encourage institution-wide compliance and integrity with state, federal, and/or accreditation regulations?

It is important for an institution to have options to the educational model it presents so that the students and potential students have the ability to make a thorough decision

We have a framework to talk within, but many times it is taking that extra few moments to listen and discuss concerns that can help to provide the best information for a potential student. Realistic expectations are what keeps a student from dropping later down the road.

I believe this is an important function of any organization as the rules often change. This is truly an important part of any professional organization to maintain compliance within its profession.

We are truthful and honest to all of our students past and present. It is Okay to say - I don't knowm but I will find out

While instilling a strong sense of integrity in the workforce, our institution trains and re-trains employees to make certain that everyone is compliant. It also helps that an environment is created where honesty and the student's best interest is given prime importance.

Absolutely. I really do take the time to get to know my student. I want to understand what type of career they would like to obtain with their expected degree.

We are also given strict guidelines on our language to the potential student. Our new representatives follow a script sheet.

All of our calls are recorded and are monitored. Every employee has a weekly meeting and our calls are listened too with our direct supervisor.

We are upfront with the student the minute they have any interest attending our school. If they ask a question I don't have any answer, I will find the answer for them.

This sounds like a very interesting idea. What all is mentioned on the disclosure form?

In order to remain compliant, we complete trainings such as this whenever necessary and we conduct call or meeting observations to ensure that the admissions reps are staying compliant in what they say to students. We also hold team meetings to discuss recent changes in policy so that everyone is aware.

FULL DISCLOSURE WITH REGARDS TO THE SCHOOLS PLACEMENT, RETENTION AND GRADUATION RATES ARE NECESSARY WHEN MAKING A DECISION TO ATTEND SCHOOL.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE STUDENT HAS A CATALOG, COPY OF THE ENROLLMENT AGREEMNT, HOW ARE STUDENT ARE DOING? AND THE STATE OF OHIO STUDENT DISCLOSURE FORM.

THIS PROCESS ELIMINATES A LOT OF CONFUSION AND PROMOTES CLARITY AND UNDERSTANDING AND TRUST FROM THE VERY BEGINING. NOW THE STUDENT CAN GET OVER THEIR FEARS AND BEGIN TO VALUE AND APPRECIATE THE EDUCATION THAT'S GOING TO PREPARE THEM FOR THE WORKFORCE.

Our institution has processes in place to make sure that every student is getting the same information. Monitoring call and interviews are the ways to sure that the institution is in compliance with its regulations.

Accreditation and membership information is easily located on my institution's website, as well as other promotional materials.

This is a terrific way to make sure students understand the details of what they are signing up for, and my institution does this, as well.

Our organization required staff to complete this module to have a deeper understanding of accreditation.

As of this year, our company has added a new position, the Director of Compliance. He keeps us all in line!

It is a must for all documentation to come from our corporate office to make sure we are compliant

In some states, the students that we speak with the calls are monitored and recorded and this is the first thing that is mentioned. I make sure to address this right after asking for the student before going into any conversation or having them going into any kind of details just to be on safe side.
