Our School has taken steps to have all admissions reps. to take required trainings to stay compliant to all state integrity laws and regulations. Staff meetings to update us on any changes

Ross seeks to hire ethical professionals, provide them with training to ensure they are very well educated on the requirements and provides careful leadership by both peers and superiors to ensure proper implementation.

We are a very honest school that works in an industry that has strict requirements. We are very clear as to what the training involves, income potential and what our school expects from them and vise versa leading to a high referral rate and good reputation.

Our institution has a very detailed enrollment agreement which points out the various aspects of accreditation sources, responsibilities of the student, as well as detailed information regarding financial obligations. Each section of the enrollment agreement must be initialed by the student after complete explanations are made. This process, I believe, adds to the integity of the institution. We do not "gloss" over anything, but rather fully disclose and explain all aspects of the students' requirements, expectations, and obligations for becoming an enrolled student at our school.

We utilize having our website up to date and making sure to steer the prospective student first to important information so they can access it at any time as well as making sure only financial aid staff speak to student with financial aid questions. This makes it easier to have the right information and no mis-quoted financial aid answers.

Our staff is required to be specific about the exact name of the accrediting body and what it means to the student.

We provide our students with as much information as possible. We discuss disclosures with students in detail. We walk the students through our handbooks and policies and we welcome questions and challenges. We want the students to be as educated as possible about what our programs can and cannot offer them.

Our institution also monitors our calls with potential students. They give positive as well as negative feedback to help the rep improve their performance and to make sure the potential student is given all the correct information.

Compliance and integrity is essential for every institution because that prospective student needs to be able to trust us, the school, and the educational system as a whole. We need to be honest with them, ensure they understand financial obligations, set realistic expectations for time commitments within program parameters, and disclose all information to them. Why would we not want to be trustworthy and display good ethical values to people who want to be a part of our institution?

One strategy we had added to encourge compliance and intergrity with stat federal and o accreditation regulations is the "second interviw". Each student that goes through the enrollement process is given a "second interview". During this second interview all information is reviewed and the potential students is given the opportunity to ask questions or get clarity if needed. We realize that the students are getting so much information in the beginning, we want to ensure that they are making an informed decision about their education and the committment he/she is making. This interview is done with an administrator.

Our school has several disclaimers that must be stated during every call, as well as our call are constantly monitored to ensure the highest quality.

Our institution is very strict as we ask for expressed consent and do quality assurance with every call with the telmarketing aspect of the school. We are very precise in following the "Dnc" law as well! But this keeps us in good graces and are name well off as we listen to prospective students and follow the rules!

We are given a script to guide us to ensure we are giving students the correct information.

Never put any questions about your integerty. Be one hundred percent sure

There are other specific jobs that are used to ensure this is properly handled on a regular basis.

Jolene,
I like the idea of the 3 hours devoted to discussion with the students to answer any questions they may have. So often misinformation runs rampant, especially with Financial Aid, and info picked up from your friend in class is so very different than what it actually is. I wish more schools took the time to make time for this open forum.

In the last several years, in addition to admissions, the placement employees get a chance to speak/interview the perspective student to answer questions they might have in regards to the specific program they plan to persue to make sure this is the right program for them.

Several key strategies put in place are training for employees in key areas and implementation of very conservative policies and procedures. This ensures that key employees have been given the necessary knowledge to act in accordance with all regulations. Having conservative policies and procedures in place that go beyond even the regulations from the state, federal, and accreditation also help ensure that no violations are being committed.

A check list is a practical thing to use when talking to the students. We are not able to rely on our memory to make sure we are in compliance. A check list is what helps us make sure we cover all of imporant aspects of requirements.

We utilize a series of documents to ensure compliance and a checksheet for accuracy purposes
