Seeing The Light

I feel that I have a better understanding about the policies and procedures.  You tend to get a little stagnant after many years being an admissions officer.  It brightens the high values and ethics that we need to see and feel  again and again, Bravo!  The organizational structure of this program is excellent!

Foundation

The in depth learning allows the admissions staff to better convey a much clearer view of what we are all about. The prospective student must feel assured that his or her invesment of the time and money is in the right school. Our training allows us to place such confidence into this future student.

Great Tool of Learning.

I feel that i learned a lot about policies and Procedures, Accreditation, Organizational Structure and other important information  that  sometimes  we don't take the time to research on our own.

Compliance Course

The part I like about this course was being able to see how all these regualtions affect different departments in different ways. FA compliance, disclosure compliance for Admissions, catalog requirements, etc. This course definitely covered a lot of material that is important to know even if it doesn't seem like it directly affects your daily work tasks. It is all very important to learn in order to work as effecient as posibble and as a TEAM!

CM201

I  enjoyed the information brought forth by this course.  Many of the Rules and Laws are explained in terms that are easy to understand for the practitioner.  It was not a difficult course.  I think that the state required admission to take this course is a positive reinforcement.

Greater Understanding

I really enjoyed this course, as I felt that while I didn't learn that much that was new, I have a much greater understanding of what all of these policies and procedures that we have to follow are there for.  With all of our schools under ever greater scrutiny by Congress, as expressed in the new Gainful Employment developments, it's critical that we not run afoul of these critical rules and regulations.

In a tough economic climate, even though a school can espouse the strictest standards and highest ideals, there will always be a hint of temptation to "color outside… >>>

New to Admissions

As the campus librarian I didn't feel connected to the Admissions Department.  I was recently tasked with assisting Admissions in the administration of the Wonderlic assessment and with some other admissions activities.  I became more attuned to the responsibilities and stresses faced by the admissions representatives every day.  The compliance course was an excellent way for me to become familiar with the situations facing them.  The course was well presented and contained information that I was not aware of but need to know.

Great Compliance Training!

I think the compliance training was very helpful. I'm actually new to Title IV schools and this training answered a lot of my questions. It helped me understand about the regulations and why they are important. I was a little nervous about taking the compliance training, but I learned a lot. I really enjoyed the training.

11 years

Even after 11 years of working in admissions, financial aid and student services I still learned a lot from this class. Nicely done

Compliance Training

This course was so informative in laying out the guidlines we all need to be cognizant of in our everyday interactivies with inquiries and students.  The format was clear and consise and the referrals to our respective state's compliance guidelines was also very helpful.  This course will ensure that all of us involved directly with inquiries and students will maintain current knowledge of the various compliance and disclosure guidelines we must always adhere to.

Very Informative

This course was very informative for me. The topics discussed can sometimes even relate to your personal life. A lot of the information I have learned before but it was great to have a refresher course with some new tidbits that I wasn't aware of!

Used a lot - but still learned something I didn't know.

Found the course very imformative, although somethings I had read several times to make sure I was understanding them.  DNC I have been aware of, but had never heard of "can spam".  So that was very informative, and I learned several other disclosures I was not aware of .  The Title IV information was very interesting also.

100%

When it comes to compliance, there is no room for error! Witht the new July 1st roll outs, the reps need to be atop their game, study their materials and prepare to be under a microscope of people waiting to jump at a mistake!

The True meaning of a "Good Admission Rep"

I believe a good admission representative should have several key components to be consider “Good” The must know the function of the position. I believe many admission rep may not totally understand the concept of his or title.  Their role is to recruit students to attend their institution, and this can be done person to person contact, telephone or over the internet. The representative may also attend events such as career fairs at local high schools to meet students who are considering higher educational institution. An admission rep must be familiar with the admission processes; such as find out… >>>

FInally, we get into the 21st Century

Most of the schools that take this course are online schools.  That means most provide education and training not in the traditional classroom setting but online.  As a rep, we often have to sit in a classroom and take hours away from our students to complete training.  We have the same issues most of our students have as well.  I took this assessment with about  10 other reps, I had to start about 30 minutes later than them but I was read faster than most, retain information well and know my job and the policies farely well so I was… >>>

Compliance

Very informative and learned a lot of regulations that I was not aware of,

Good Course

I have been doing this for some time now and always find keeping up to date is benificial.

Resource Notebook

Excellent!!!! It was very easy and educational. And now with my notebook i should be able to utilize it with my prospective students. Thank you.

Wrap up

Wonderful course! I really enjoyed the format. There is so much information out there with these regulations and interpreting legislation isn't exactly the easiest thing to do. It's nice to have everything laid out in a format that's easy to understand. I feel that I retained a lot of what is presented. While the golden rule can definitely serve as a back up, we all need to be familiar with the specific regulations. I am much more confident about my ability to work compliantly as a result of this course.

Training

I thought that this course was a great way to refresh me on the responsibilities of my job and updating me on current policies.
