responsibilities of instructors

ED 102 helps keep me as an instructor reminded of my responsibilities toward my students instead of getting lost on the students' responsibilities to my class.

A Great New Experience

Really a great learning experience.  I look forward to the next class.  I have already used several tatics that I have learned in my online classes.  Thank you very much.

TTFN

different types of test

yes I like using different types of test in the same course

ED102

I haven't taken many online teaching courses, but I really liked learning from this site. It was very informative and very positive. It had some great ideas for keeping the students interested and motivated.

ED201

Among the courses that I have taken throught Max knowledge, I found this one to be one of the most helpful.  The program that I teach has a diverse population of students, and this on-line course helped to give me direction, along with some comforting suggestions, that will make it easier to convey the content of the course I teach.

ED104

I found ED 104 to be very interesting and full of insight.  The forums were terrific and gave a tons of ideas that I can't wait to apply!

ED310 Med Term learning can be fun

This course had some good activities to use for making learning medical terminology fun. I had already been using many of the suggested learning activities so it served to reinforce my current teaching methods. I do not reserve the activities solely for Medical Terminology, but have used the same sort of activities in other courses. I have also used Jeopardy, Hangman, and "Who Wants to be a Marvelous MA"(patterned after Who Wants to be a Millionaire"). IF students still struggle with the spelling of medical terminology- I fall back on the age-old practice of writing a word ten times (or… >>>

ED 102 Good insights!

I felt that there were some good insights in ED102.  I especially enjoyed the video clips.   I took away a few new items to use in my 'bag of tricks' for this course.

One of the things I liked was the 'Crisis' teaching tool.   So much of my business is handling last minute crisis situations.   I will definatly be creating a lesson plan around this tidbit for my future classes!

ED106

This module was much more intersting than ED104. I really enjoyed this one!

ED103

This course is very helpful for me, especially when i have to perform my tests or when i  have to decide the most appropriate style for my students depending on the subject to assess.

104

This couse was very relevent to daily teaching experiences. Students have a wide range of issues dealing with life in geeral and as an instructor we have to be understanding, but stand by our written rules.

Feedback

Feedback is very important in an online classroom.  The feedback an instructor gives allows a student to make the necessary adjustments to suuceed and make better grades if necessary from week to week.

What are some different types of feedback that you use to steer your students towards success?

Eye Opening

This has given me a new way of seeing what I do everyday.  I enjoyed the ideas and have retained new skills through this course.

Enjoyable

I chose this course even though I have yet to teach Med Term. I found the ideas very interesting however and thought it was very informative. I liked all the ideas about the games and teaching activities. I will be trying to find ways to incorporate them into my classes. Thank you so much!

Delivering clear presentations

ED 106 was very helpful in the sense that it gave me a few pointers on dealing with disabled students.  We dont have many so we realy dont know how to deal with them first hand.  But thx to ed106 the examples and pointers were helpful

First Day Checklist

It is very important to inform your students with school rules and regulations and your expectations.

What I Needed

I found there were many areas I had become a bit complacent about.  This course helped me focus on those areas and I've seen an improvement in my classes already.    I didn't realize how easy it was to get into a rut teaching the same courses over and over and the impact that had on my students learning.  This gave me the shot in the arm I needed to get back on track.

Active Learning is essential for success in the calssroom!

I loved the conten of this course!  As an instructor I reaaly try to implement active learning each and every day!  I feel that this will help be to reach each individual learning style and allow the student to obtain success!  Each of us are here to make their educational journey the ebst that it can be!  Through active learning we can ensure that each student will be self-directed and motivated to be successful!

Helped me

This course helped me learn how to treat and interact with my students better. I now know that I dont need to know every answer to the questions i am asked as long as i follow through with giving an answer. Testing is not to much of a problem. I think our tests really help us the teachers to know what our students are soaking in.

Developing as an instructor

This course really helped for the new instructor like me! It helped me a lot to prepared, planned and how to gain respect from students! It teaches me how to build my self-esteem in times that some students were under estimating my confidence because of my age!
