Goodbye stress!!!

I learned so many helpful techniques and activities to help me cope with stress. I am very excited to start practicing these activities (breathing exercises, stretching and organization) in my personal and professional life. I know that my family will also be enthusiastic about our new and almost stress free life! Thank you so much for offering us this course. It will truly make a huge difference in my performance as an educator, mother, friend, and wife. I can not wait to take other courses............

ED110

In this class I learned about eliminating stress. I understand that life has alot of stressful situations, but I sometime put stress on myself through putting off things until the last moments, or somethings are not as stressful as it seems.  I often use the TO DO LIST around the house on my spare time if I have a large list of tasks, but I need to use it more and not put things off.  That is so Easy for some people but I seem to fall into procrastination often and knowing it is a problem for me do not necessarily… >>>

Full time college student and part-time Instructor - LOL

I am a retired Sergeant First Class Army medic with over 20 years and many combat as well as non-combat deployments. As a NCO my main job was to teach mentor and develop Soldiers assigned under me. I have had various classes and training as to different ways of doing this and have even developed some of my own. The bottom line is that no matter what the delivery, classroom, environment, or education level of students the most important thing is to know what you are teaching.

Online and in classroom

Even though I really like teaching online, I do miss the interaction of the classroom. However, I do feel that more people have access to learning through the online environment and I enjoy helping students be successful in a new career.

Loving what I do!!

I have had a very successful career in both of my career paths.  First as a senior buyer for 24 years, and now as an billing and coding instructor, the classroom is my juice, to share with student my life experiences, the type of things they might encounter.  This is really the juice - it drives me - I love it.

I'M GLAD I CHOSE THIS COURSE AT THE BEGINING OF A NEW CLASS. i THINK IT WILL HELP ME STRUCTURE MY QUESTIONS FOR THE STUDENTS TO BENEFIT MORE THAN THE RANDOM WAY I WAS DOING THEM BEFORE.

ED103 Comments

I found the ED103 course to be very effective.  I especially learned a great deal by listening to the professors explain how they utilize various assessment techniques in their classrooms, as well as, what worked and didn't and how to determine what types of assessments to use.

ED 103

Completed ED103 I learnt so much that I can use to enhance my students learning. Thanks.

ED104

I just completed ED104 and it was a very useful learning tool. The content and questions were easy to understand. THe content also enhanced my knowledge about adult learners.

ED106

Good course. I especially thought the section about students with learning disabilities was especially helpful.

ED106

I just completed ED106 and I must say it was a very good course in helping to understand how to approach students with learning diabilities. These students can be the most frustrating to deal with regularly because I know they WANT to understand and learn but they have major obsticles in their way to success. They are frustrated and in my wanting to help them, I get frustrated, with myself more than anything. My frustrations come from my desire to help them and finding the solution to getting them to where they need to be, which is not always easy.… >>>

What makes you a stand out as a good "Teacher"

I would love to hear from anyone in education on what makes you stand out as a good teacher.

I have a few things I can share about myself.

First I teach with Enthusiasm.

I Incorporate Humor  when every possible.

I show a true support and concern about the students success. I also remain humble.

It was really good reading tips on stress management and good coping mechanisms. Going to put this stuff into practice from now on.

EL102

The course reinforced what I already do, but also supplied some new ideas.

ED 103

This course was not only insightful, but helpful. Often, there are times that occur when you try to put together an adequate test that stimulates and challenges without using the course test that are given by the supplier. Some of the types of test taking methods were basic, but in the course of the day you forget to utilize them. The course output helps me to better focus on the test to obtain maximum results from my students.

Good organized course. it was a good refresher

ED101

I enjoyed the class, learned new strategies, and was pleased to acknowledge that I already incoporate several of the effective strategies.  There are so many threads in the forum that I found it difficult to find the time to read a wide variety of them.  It was more effective for me to chose one topic and enter a thoughtful response to it.  I am interested in taking another course in the near future.

ED 106

It was interesting and helpful. It is hard to learn new things it is even harder if student has learning disabilities.
