ED112 and ED113

Great news I completed both of the above courses they were awesome; please it is suggested from me that I would recommend; these courses were awesome and easy to follow.

ED205

Good info to incorporate in my classes.  I only get a few days with students, I wish Ihad a little more time to implement it all!

ED113

Managing the adult classroom is a little tricky most students are night students they come from work and home and dealing with family; then they have 2  three hour classes; to involve them actively in my opinion is the best way to stay on track and have a successful class.  It is mentioned in a variety of techniques in ED113-Managing the Adult Classroom.

ED112

So I finished ED112 Influencing Student Motivation; awesome course; I found new ideas and issues related to adult learners; I was happy to find some techniques I was already using; I learned Think Pair Share Technique-recommend the course

ED102

This was very helpful to see how we compare and how to be better instructors and communicator

student centered approach

I just completed the online course based on understanding how to help your students learn. I have to say I've always tried to base my class off of how the students can view it and how they can learn the most. The info was great and presented well. I never stopped taking notes! looking forward to implementing new ideas to help futhor my students.

EL104 Facilitating an Online Course

Great course offering various strategies to manage the online classroom.

Soft skills

"Everything I ever needed to know I learned in Kindergarten". If you think about it, it's true, isn't it? I think employers find that it's harder to teach the soft skills to their employees...they either have them or they don't. You can be taught the hard skills in most cases, especially if you have good soft skills. If you have a hard time managing your emotions and are not tuned in to the emotions of others, you will have a hard time at any job. Almost every employee I've know who was fired from a job was fired not due… >>>

ED105 - PROFESSIONALISM

The course was a combination of English, Critical Thinking and Commmunciations skills that would prepare the student for the workplace environment.

Overall the course was good; however, there was a question or two that I disagreed with in the final assessment. One question was the writing process.  Ordinarily the writing process is: prewriting, outlining, first draft, revision and then proofreading (and collaboration if your text includes that).  In the question though, considering your audience was presented, which goes along as a second sub- step to selecting the topic; therefore, I think that the selection was not as clear as it could… >>>

Classroom strategies

Thank you for this course, I have been a teacher for a very long time and it is always great to "refresh" thoughts and ideas on the classroom environment. I live with a quote by Walt Whitman

I am the teacher of athletes, He that by me spreads a wider breast than my own proves the width of my own, He most honors my style who learns under it to destroy the teacher.

EL104 Course

I enjoyed taking this course. I am finding that learning the material in previous courses has helped me learn the material in this course.

Excellent Course!!

Ingetration of technology in the learning environment is becoming more and more advanced as well as a popular item in the on ground classrooms.  All of the seven courses that I am teaching this quarter are web-based; therefore, I am utilitizing a lot of social networking, media hosting and sharing, etc.  Therefore, this course was very helpful.  It has enhanced my knowledge in several areas such as microblogging, media hosting and sharing, etc.  I have taken quite a few notes so that I will be able to incorporate them into my on ground web based classes.  You can read about… >>>

How to Make Stress your Friend [VIDEO]

Stress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others.

Rubrics

I personally believe that RUBRICS, are GREAT! Rubrics tell students or learners exactly what is being looked for and gives the advantage. If the studentss or learners do what the rubric states, they have the opportunity to get the maximum grade.

Rubrics course Very helpful

Loved this courese

Professionalism in the Classroom/Workplace

I would have liked more instruction on how to be professional in the classroom, in the workplace, and in society period. Being computer literate is important, but more important is how to effectively be professional writing an email or a text message these days. There are some bits and pieces I can take away from this course, but not a whole lot.

Very Saddened

This class was not helpful at all, I am sorry to say.  Teaching is becoming something that most teachers are unable to do correctly, according to the institution, and teachers are not able to do their jobs properly and the ones that are suffering are the students.
