E104

I found this session extrememyl helpful. It provided me with new information/tools to use in the online environment, while re-establishing the tools and skills I had from previous online experiences.

ED101

The course offered some excellent advice.

ED 117

This class was very informative. It reinforced current techniques useed and gave new techniques for training Gen Y students. I definately want to expand my use of technology training.

Helpful

I found this cource helpful to me because it brought my attention again to students with learning disabilities and how to manage them better and help them, i'll use it in class

EL106 Course

I found that this course offered some vaulable information for any instructor teaching in an online format. The information presented things to consider when testing students were of great value. This is very important since we are teaching in a virtual environment and need to make sure students are learning the information.

ED 108 Life Experiences

In a Technical college we instruct students of all genders, cultures, and a wide variety of age groups. As instructors, understanding students life experiences and where they come from and possibly what they have been through can help us relay to each individual what they need from us. Also, using our own personal life experieces when appropriate. I enjoyed ED 108.

It talks about how your students decode and recode information and their learning processes.

5 Content Curation Tools Instructors Can Use and How to Use Them

Instructors realize that sharing current, relevant content with their students can help make a connection between concepts taught in class and how they are playing out in the real-world. In the past, instructors might scan the newspaper and cut out a clipping to share with their class but with so many modern web tools, it is easier than ever to contribute online discoveries to class conversations. Using free online content curation tools, instructors can easily integrate new content in a variety of ways.

Managing time and stress reduction

There was a lot in this course to help one manage time and stress.  I think I sometimes get too caught up in what I am doing to remember to do some of the things I learned in this class, even those I already know help. Experience has taught me that I am not as effective a teacher if I forget to take care of myself.

Stress & Time Mgmnt

This was  a class I would recommend.  Much of the information is review to those who have taken stress classes before but it is an IMPORTANT reminder that we need to bring to the forefront of minds, as it will make us better instructors, more productive and generally better to be around.

ED119 - Using Technology to Engage and Educate

I realy enjoyed this class ED119

EL112

While I wasn't highly interested in the topic, the course was actually very helpful.

Teamwork

Frequently we have students working on projects together and good soft skills are needed to motivate these students by helping them to get over their differences and getting them moving toward a common goal accomplishment.  I think the term used nowdays is "Jelling" for getting disparate groups to work together.

ED111

I found this course to give good insight into helping college students learning the English Language.  I teach Dental Assisting so my students are not only trying to learn and perfect the english language but they also need to learn the language of dentistry as well.  It gave me some ideas that I can implement in the classroom and lab.

Content

This course with helpful to understand that not everyone learns the same and to be open minded about your audience.

206 -

This course did have something to offer regarding lab and learning.  I just realized that not all people can see in and those who cannot probably won't engage.  Reinforced my Grad school information on adult learning theories, not always using them all of the time.

ED 110

I learned some helpful tips from this course. Stress management is essential for maintaining a healthy mind and body.

ED101

I decided to take ED101 to reinforce and confirm what I know.  I have been teaching for 10+ years and it is great to see I am still on the path to ensure learning.

ED117

Generation Y learn differently for Generation X and Baby Boomers.  Each term I look at the percentage of each generation.  This allows me to change the course to engange the generations because there is no one size fits all.

ED 106

I really enjoy this course, learned a great deal of information that will be helpful in my teaching.

ED 117

This information inspired me to place more emphasis on group activites that promote personal feedback, thoughts, opinions, experiences rather than just seeking and sharing information and answers.  The personal components seems as important for value and meaning of the activity as seeking and sharing information.
