As a new instructor, how do you plan to intergrate or improve your use of soft skills in your day to day interactions with students?

Do you ever find sexism from male or female students? I have had a few male students in the past few years that were not beligerent but were condescending in emails or discussion boards. I handled it appropriately. This is a subject I have never seen discussed. I wonder if the male instructors experience the same from female students?

I enjoyed and learned a great deal while going through the CEE with Maxknowledge.  I am incorporating new ideas and fun activities for my students.  Meanwhile I am having a great deal of fun myself!  I find the students are excited with the end results, after participating in the games.  Their knowledge base is greater than they expected and are able to recall medical terminology in all of the classes that I teach.  Medical Insurance, Medical Coding, Computers in the Medical Office, and Office Procedures in this quarter.  ED310 is one of the best courses to date. 

Just completed ED110 time and stress management. It was an excellent course with some very helpful ideas and strategies that I will be able to apply to my work enviroment as well as my personal life. It is good to know I am not alone and that there are many effective ways to deal with stress. I believe implementing the time management ideas will be a great place to start making more time for things I enjoy and that will help to reduce my stress.

For those of you who are always looking for activities to keep your students engaged, I recommend the ED311 module. It has many fun, interactive ideas which can be tailored to fit your needs. This was actually a very interesting "class"!

This is a good course if you want to add the use of technology to the classroom.

I really enjoyed taking this course. So far, all of the courses were very helpful for my personal development as an Instructor.

This course was informative.  It all balds down to preparation. How well or serious you take your perfession depends on how well you prepare your lesson plan to reflect your instruction. Choose your instruction based on your personality.  This is the only way to match and connect with the learner. Try not to over power the learner by showing how smart you are then rather show how much you care they learn. Provide structure wuth a syllabus.  provide structure for all learning styles.

I found the course to be very helpful in reducing stress, and prioritizing my work load. I use the skills for 2 teaching positions as well as my day job. Course was well structured.
