I found this course very interesting.  It confirmed for me many of the techniques I have already been using in the classroom, which was nice.  I would recommend this class to anyone who feels their students are just not getting it!  It will hopefully open your eyes to new techniques in teaching, such as hands on projects.

Excellent training. Provides you with very good information about options to control student behavior in class. A lot of time we do not think about it and when the situation comes we do not know necessarily how to proceed. Also it helps you understand that some  (minor or major) changes in your teaching style may be necessary

Being Prepared

This lesson has showed me how being prepared for you classes gives a good first impression to your new students. laying out a syllabus for there studies better help them understand whats expected of them from this particular class

"Going On-line"

The word from senior management is that we are "going on-line".  To this end I  enrolled in EL110 to learn how to conduct On-line classes.  The course was an eye opener in many ways.  I now have a better idea what it will take to teach using this mode of learning

It was good training to remind me to include more open questions during my classes. Too many closed questions is not good, they might be convenient so you can cover the material during the alloted time but too many closed questions is not good.

Wait times is also critical, sometimes we just forget to wait and allow students time to think about their answer. In general when we do not think we may not provide good or accurate answers

Sometimes we forget that extrinsic motivation can not be a good tool when used for too long or too much. We all like rewards (extrinsic motivation) but too much of anything is not good. A good balance between extrinsic and intrinsic motivators is a better recipe

Inform you student

This course was very informative on how to relate and better assist your students in there learning skill, explain how to seek out the students that learn different ways, and information on how to help get the information across to all students

ED-209

I just completed this course and I feel that I have gained so much on'advising' students and what are some factors tha need to be considered to treat students as  customers

ED 104

I just completed ED 104 course and feel like I learned a lot from this course. I am a new instructor and this course helped me prepare for my teaching assignments, how to act, how to interact with students, how to recognize common problems that may occur and how to deal with them. I feel more prepared to take on this new role after completing this course.

9 Questions to Ask About a Goal - Part 3 of 3

Setting strategic goals is the joint responsibility of all members of your career school's team; each employee should be part of the goal-setting process. In our last two blogs, we looked at six questions to help ensure that our employees develop goals that are effective and obtainable. In today's blog we address the last three questions to ask about a goal. Please note that it is not an exhaustive list, however, the nine questions we have now addressed in Parts 1, 2 and 3 of our blog at least lay a foundation for developing accomplishable goals. 7. I have learned many tools that assit me in developing an online course.

The course Framwork was very good tool to start a course plan.

ED 203

I just finished this course and it was very enlightening. The students that we are teaching in todays' world require a variety of educational tools. I realize I am headed in the right direction because I am already using the youtube, powerpoint and other academic technological media in the classroom. I know that I must continue to listen and recognize what my students needs are for learning. This will increase my students chances of having a great educational experience and help me to become a better teacher.

Good stuff.  Learning new ways to cope with stress as well as simply identifying stress is always good news!

ED110

While I knew most of the concepts from this course from previous courses that I have taken it did give me some new concepts to try.  I was very impressed with the way this course was laid out and the concepts were so easy.  I am definitely going to implement some of these ideas into my day to day life to try and reduce my stress.
