I feel that the goal of educating students is to pass down your life experiences and your knowledge of your feild so that the next generation can take it to the next level

Hi Jeremiah:
Good point and well described!

Hi Kimberlee:
I agree we should attempt to transfer all we can because we dealing with the next generation of workers, regardless of the profession. Much of what we know is not in textbooks, so some kinds of information have to be passed on from person to person.

My goal of educating students is to be able to successfully bring an educational or clinical skill to them and have them be able to master it with the up most of confidence as wll as be proud of their accopmlishments.

The goal when educating students is to provide the lessons needed to be succesfaul in a chosen industry. Students invest of themselves when attending school and as an instructor it is our responsibility to be the dividend. In addition to training the student to carry the torch for the next generation we encourage many of them to return and teach themselves.

I would like to think I am participating in the evolution of a new professional. I look at it has the future of health care. I want quality, competent, caring professionals taking care of my family and myself. I would like to know I will continue on saving and giving quality of life to many lives even after I leave the professional sector.

Hi Mary Jane:
For me, the goal is to teach or transfer what knowledge I have to my students so that they can apply it to their career field. Lifelong learning, as you suggest is an important attribute too, once they get into their work setting.

Hi Althea:
Yes, skills and knowledge app-ropriate to their work setting.

Regards, Barry

To basically give them a set of skills to prepare them for their career.

Equipping students with the skills and mind set to become a professional and productive citizen in the chosen field of study.

Hi Harmony:
If we agree that transfering your knowledge to each student, then making it significant for each student is quite awesome and probably has helped many student appreciate the merits key math concepts provide in their career classes and life experiences and work environments.

Hi Richard:
For me, the purpose is to exchange or transfer the extent of what I've learned and pass that along to my students. This may be from life or work experiences, education or training, mistakes, and even student interactions over the years. As you point out, we should learn from all experiences we encounter.

Regards, Barry

education never stops. Educating students is a life-long experience. Students should always look to aquire new knowledge and skills.

Hi Kilyoung:
The transfer of knowledge is really the key element. How we go about will vary.

Hi Julie:
In programs where there is an external exam, measuring student successfulness is a bit easier. But also, soft skill such as attendance, grooming, appearence and language - following directions, these are a part of that holistic individual.

Hi Susan:
As subject matter experts (SME's), we are perfectly situated to share all that we have learned and facilitate clkasses that are graed towards students reaching the highest levels possible in the specific subject being taught. When we focus it on the work setting, that preapres students even better for employment.

To instill a good sense of responsibility toward thier careers/job. To help them see that education is knowledge and knowlege is power. When they are well educated they have the power to write thier futures so to speak. Using more advanced methods i.e. technology just aids them in being more effective with the learning and application of new material.
