It is very important to select the proper tools to diffuse knowledge. I agree with all those techniques. Nevertheless, some institutions do not provide the adequate working and learning tools.
I use photographs of a component, its location, an actual component and then try to move to labe and show them the actual physical location.

I like to have my students make list using mind maps and I encourage them to doodle or draw thumbnails. When using PowerPoints in class I try to use as many related images as I can. I also tell students how I learn from books, by drawing, making notes and highlighting what I think is important in the text I am reading right in the margins of the book.
The strategies that I use for visual learners are, showing them videos, demonstrations, observations.

Some helpful strategies would be to use more pictures during power point lectures as well as movies related to the subject. Another great visual would be to demonstrate an example of what is being studied.

Multimedia is key to reaching visual students. Powerpoint slides work great to give them something to observe as well as videos.

The trainers we use here, electrical boards, mini units, etc... are great visuals for learners. I also like to incorporate "Show and Tell" for my students to see. I'll take apart anything to show them what things look like on the inside. I feel it gives them an insight on whats to come.

Currently, I’ve been utilizing PowerPoint presentations (with video links and animation). Also, I have implemented “classroom Jeopardy†for quiz reviews and test prep. All ages love it and the fun-competitive nature comes out of everyone.

Hi Issa, Thanks for your post to the forum. So many of our students are so used to the visual/audio stimulation that they are constantly exposed to through technology; so, it really does help when we add it to our instruction! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career.

I taught a computer course last semester and my students enjoyed the small video clips and the power point presentation. Also, to make my PPT more effective, I usually add some sounds and effects on these PPT.
Hi Rick, That opportunity to "apply" what they are learning almost always improves retention of information. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career.

we should have some animation related to topic and should show them the slides to understand the content.
