The resource reference book is a great way to address information accurately and provide information that is always transparent in every interaction with a student.

I make it a priority to know the most important information a student will ask about the enrollment process and my univeristy, but one thing I've added to my notebook is the specific vergiage to address accreditation and re-accreditation processes to be able to fully explain what it entails.

I have placed Financial Aide info in my notebook. I have learned how the aide is calculated for credit hours vs semester. I learn something everyday.

We have placed marketing materials, enrollment agreement, definitions, catalog, chapter 6-e, and the organization chart.

The Resource Notebook has excellent information. There are alot of laws, rules, statues and regualtions therefore, I have chosen to print out whats available and put it in a binder. I did not know that the revocation of an Agent's license shall lead to an investigation of the licensed institution. I have learned! Thank you.

What is not in the Resource book?! We use it for daily functions as well as those activities that you may only do once a week or month. It helps keep the whole team on the same page with everything. It is a great tool to refer back to for extra training on an area one may need a refresher on. An example could be what you can and can't say over the phone, and words that an admin rep should never use.

The resource notebook is a great tool for all new hires in the enrollment department to use as they continue to grow in there position. It is full of useful information.

I have started building my resource notebook by filling it with our student catalog and handbook as well as any information about the school that maybe able to help me relay information to a prospective student. Always having this information at my fingertips will be very helpful.

The Resource Notebook has been my bible since the inception of our institution. Just recently, I used it to look up some information relating to Agent requirements. I was quietly surprised at the minimal yet extremely important information.

Creating our own Resource Notebook helps us in organizing our tasks and responsabilities. When I started my new position, this tool helped me understand my daily work and organizing myself. Helped me have all the answers close so even when I was still learning I put my game face in front of the student and acted really secure when providing the service.

I have placed the University's catalogs in the Resource Notebook. These catalogs provide me the medular information of all the programs we offer. The information I can access from the catalogs provides the foundation for prospective students and the ability to do academic advising.

I am a firm believer in the value of a Resource Notebook and have had one for years. As prepared as I try to be, I cannot anticipate every possible question or situation that may arise. The Resource Notebook to the rescue. I keep copies of course descriptions, reproducible forms, anything that I may find useful. It has proven to be a quick and effective tool for me to use to be the best admissions rep I can be.

In my resource notebook I have added admissions regulations, program details, course catalogs, and any notes I have taken during meetings, training, or when working with potential students. I learned about many of the specific details regarding certification examinations thanks to my organization with the program details and course catalog information.

I'm very new to all of this, and it has been soooo informational and helpful! Realizing all of the things that need to be in the resource notebook has been very eye opening and makes the job so much easier to do when it's all organized right in front of you and easy to access. Most of the rules and regulations are pretty straight forward, but knowing that the agent license has to be renewed every year is very good to know. And rule 15 from the Rule 6E-2.010, F.A.C. Agents was just a good insight and reminder of strictly following all financial guidelines very carefully.

Thanks to my notebook, I figured out that my school doesn't supply financial aid so instead does scholarships. I wasn't aware we had so many which is good because I could help our students through the application process. Also, I carefully viewed the faculty and staff which is better for me as I could come up to them with more confidence feeling as if I know them a little more.

Coretta,
Excellent! Continue to add additional materials that will increase the value of your notebook.

I must agree the resource notebook is an invaluable tool for my institution! Really pinpoints things that are sometimes overlooked by staff.

Maria Chona,

The resource notebook should be the guiding resource for everyone in your institution. As we are all part of the student experience everyone should know the rules and regulations.

Patty Aronoff

Andrew,

Absolutely! The resource notebook is to provide you the information you need when you need it in order to be compliant.

Patty Aronoff

Carolina,

The rules and regulations are there to protect the students of the state of Florida. By compliance with those rules, you are also protected as an institution.
