Cynthia,
You will find yourself referring to it often. Keep up with current additions.
Rebecca,
Often we use these terms and forget that many of them are foreign to new prospective students. Keeping that thought in mind takes patience and understanding.
Raymond,
It is very important that the prospective students understand the process. They will be quick to complain when they don't understand.
Laura,
It is important that school staff use the same terminology as what is in the catalog and has been explained to the student.
Kim,
Definitions make sure we are all speaking about the same thing. Making sure that everyone uses the same terms throughout the student experience is very important.
Vera,
This is an excellent resource for you. Make the resource notebook your own beyond the basics.
We use terms like learning leader instead of instructor and future professional instead of student. We define our school by what is known as our culture. It's who we are and what we are all about. We also believe one size fits all. We are a school for any and everyone seeking a great education!
I am quite new to the Admissions Representative position, and will most definitely be using and updating my Resource Notebook on a regular basis. This module was very enlightening! Thank you.
We too use "Admissions Representative" as we are not selling, as you said. In many ways we are changing and saving lives. We provide the necessary information to help our prospective students make good, knowledgeable career decisions.
Aaron,
You are right on target! It is imperative that we use terms that everyone understands for the students to comprehend the information that is given to them.
Dena,

We also explain program as a prescriped group of courses taken in sequence leading to their degree.
